this heli is terrible.. it wants to flip when you fly forward, the only thing cool is the sounds and missles and the passanger ability the flying is just horrible
By the way, guys, the Dragon SNPC attacks the helicopter (although it can be easily shot down with the helicopter's turret, and it doesn't spit fireballs very fast), making it a pretty sweet aerial opponent for this thing.
The Dragon SNPC does manage to take this thing down (after a while, if you don't kill it before it manages to hit the body of the helicopter about 10 times), which is frickin' awesome.
And combine this with the Parachute SENT, and you're set for invading bases in RP or Fort Wars.

Have you tried holding SPACEBAR as well as W whilst flying forward?

It really doesn't fly very well no matter what you do. It's manageable, though. And to use with the Parachute, maybe an extra place to sit on the exterior or an open door or something.

This is awesome, I just got done playing with it. I was like: "Fuck yeah, now I'm going to kick yo ass" (Talking to the MIB SNPC Helicopter) And I got owned. I love it :D

I've noticed several other posts about this not working(you can barely turn or move it, and you can't go up or down) on some servers, I too am having that problem, my server is not hosted its dedicated, a friend of mine also has a dedicated and this will not fly on his either.
I tried it on a listen server with some friends over the internet and it worked fine, my dedi has the latest gmod update on it btw.
I think it's awesome, it would be more awesome though if it spun out of control and plummeted to the ground when it 'runs out of health.' Also explode if it falls from a high altitude.

I think the problem is your ability to learn how to fly it.
Why do you continue to hold the forward button if you know it's going to flip? Just release the button for a sec.
It's not like the other helis (moves where you aim when you go forward).
Is it possible to destroy the tail rotor?
Give us custom explosions and maby a tomahawk robot?

Enemy NPC's ignore it.
They should attack the helicopter, but they just ignore it, completely.
And you can't hit Striders, Helicopters or Gunships with the guided missile.
Other than that, epic release.

I think all the idiots in this thread are underestimating the helicopter, but you're also overestimating it. It's not that hard to fly as people make it out to be, but it DOES strafe left annoyingly and is near impossible to fly through an obstacle course such as between buildings. Also, I think when it dies in mid-air it would be cooler if it spun uncontrollably like they do in movies when they get shut down where you can barely see out of the helicopter. As of now it just sort of wobbles to the ground. Don't get me wrong though, I love this thing.

1. Yes, the flying mechanics can get to be a little annoying.
2. It does spin out and smash into the ground when it dies. It'll wobble a lot when it's almost dead, but when it's all dead it almost falls out of the sky. I think...
Dosn't look much like a combat helicopter.

You are probably right. I think it's easy to use because I'm the creator and I know everything about it.
This is true, i remember making thruster planes in gmod and they were easy as hell for me to fly, but everyone would always bitch about them being impossible and my controls sucked etc.
So I hit my friend in his heli with my ion cannon.
Was fuckin awesome. A++ entity.
