Like with another person previously, its probably an addon you have installed. A number can conflict with this. There was one addon that pretty much broke all jeep based vehicles. Its impossible to do a conflict check with all mods.
uhm I can't steer it it just fly upwards :(
sakarias i just found a bug, once yore in the chopper than the enemy npcs dont attack you even i i disabled ignore players. can you fix this?
Is it me or is that Garrysmod.com doesn't work at all? When I try to download the file it get me an empty zip!!

I removed buoyancy and fin2 to make sure there wasnt some confliction, but what else could cause it not to get off the ground

Just messin around with the helicopter. Found a very easy way to make the helicopter fight and shoot without a player in it with a scanner and turret.

1. Spawn the helicopter vehicle.
2. Spawn a scanner.
3. YOU HAVE TO HAVE WEIGHT STOOL FOR THIS TO WORK. Set weight on scanner to about 10000
4. Tip the helicopter slightly forward.
5. Weld the scanner onto the helicopter
Voila you now have a helicopter that is flying sorta. You don't actually need the rotor spinning as I just made that for visual effect. You can add a turret onto there if you want. The combine ragdoll is just there for visual effect as well.

theres a bug, when you hit the forward "w" it almost wants to flip over not like the video where everything is smooth/
EUREKA!!!! The NPCs only attack you from your left side... therefore the front must be blocked by some prop. Well I dont know... This means alot to those who play singleplayer, Right guys? If you could release a fix for this, all of us would be much obliged.

Same thing happens to me as well, but I keep adjusting and get to fly it reasonably well. A little patience and practice is all it takes. :)
I just like spawning a shitload of NPCs and spray them with the machine gun and guided missiles. I have yet to try it on a server with other people tho. I can only imagine 8-10 players flying around like drunk bees trying to shoot one another :smile:

Oh Christ, even a 1v1 battle is difficult. Trying to snipe the other guy across Flatgrass using the laser missile. Can't even see the laser, it's a guessing game.

Try to get like a Cobra attack heli, ya know, give us some of the more famous helicopters
what we need is heli's and vehicles that act like they do in crysis and bf2 where you get in and it actually flys well

This helicopter vehicle is a lot better than the other helicopter ents on garrysmod.org!
Four players can use the helicopter at the same time (pilot, copilot, 2 passengers).
You can give the weapon controls to your copilot.
You have three different weapons.
The helicopter can sense if a RPG missile is nearby.
The helicopter takes damage.

[b]Turret:[/b] Aim with the laser, the turrets angles are limited.
[b]Missiles:[/b] Four missiles will be launched rapidly, they will go straight forward. They don't do much [b]damage but the explosion radius is big.
[b]Laser guided missiles:[/b] Aim with the laser, it works like the rpg weapon. Deals more damage than the usual missiles but it takes a long time for it to reload.
