Space Visor HUD Also, Ideas: -What do you think i should add? this is a WIP. -What could i improve on? -So far, i have included almost everything people suggested, keep up the good suggestions!
It would be useful if one could adjust the brightness setting on the HUD, because in my opinion, the HUD is far to dark, and difficult to get use to.
It doesn't work for me. When the game initializes I get an LUA error saying "Hook 'CustomHud' Failed: [lua\visorhud.lua:41] attempt to call method 'GetMaxHealth' (a nil value)" [editline]26th February 2011[/editline] Okay well I fixed it by removing that statement from the LUA. Anyway, if you guys want a pretty neat effect, try combining this, SharpEye, and do a post processing overlay of the lens distortion with a very low distortion setting. To fix the brightness I just enable bloom and sun beams and tweak those to what I want. But yeah more color and brightness options would be pretty sweet. Also contextual indicators would be a cool option, say if your health and ammo are static for a period of time, the indicators for them dissapear. As soon as you say, shoot your gun, or take damage, they reappear, notifying you of the change. That would be pretty slick, and as far as I know, not incredibly difficult. Just use the LUA to change the alpha levels of those elements based on the period of time that those stats are stagnant.
Great. Reminds me of the Metroid Prime series.
It's did to me to :D
