Otherwise, the animations are always a little buggy (there is a reason for this, relating to how lazy I am), and if the model does not change you might try changing to a different weapon in your inventory then changing back.

Why isn't people giving this guy more LUA Kings? I love this, and it's helped put Iron Sights in the right positions with Custom Models.

alright I need help, I know how to bring up seperate models and properly align and all that, but I do not know how to make it permenant, I read in your post, but I still don't get it please give me some easy step by step directions.
Instructions of how to use Ironsights Designer: [b]This guide does not cover any of the more advanced features of the utility, but outlines the bare neccessities for making ironsights for an existing or custom weapon view model.[/b] [b]Step -1:[/b] Download it, and extract the .zip to garrysmod/garrysmod/addons. [b]Step 0:[/b] Restart GMod if it's already running. Start up a singleplayer game running the default, Sandbox gamemode and spawn the Ironsights Designer weapon (in your 'Q' menu's Weapons tab). [b]Step 1:[/b] Hopefully you'll have an interesting model to play with. For the purposes of this example, I'm going to make ironsights for the stock AK47 model from CS:S. To change the weapon model you are positioning, hit the Sprint key to activate the mouse, then click "Model: models/weapons/..." in the menu. A TextEntry will replace the static model path display: enter your wanted model's filepath and click 'Set'. The weapon model on your screen should change immediately if the model can be found. Press right-click to cycle through the four available modes: Pos Y allows you to pull or push the model back and forth from the player's view, Ang Pitch/Yaw allows you to change what direction the weapon is pointing in (good for fixing sights not aligning directly with the crosshair when the sights are lined up with each other), and Ang Roll allows you to 'roll' the weapon model left and right (good for making players hold a weapon 'gangster style'). Try and get the sights to line up with each other, or a suitable comprimise - ignore the crosshair for now. Paste them at the bottom of the file, or paste them over any existing ironsight functions. If you've put the weapon too near the camera and the weapon model is clipping the player's view, consider manually increasing the Y position - the second value in SWEP.IronsightsPos - by 1 point and re-testing (repeat as many times as is neccessary). This is a great utility, but i need some help. I know how to import a model, and how to change the view, but how can you really use it? What do i have to do to get it to work in the current game(i don't want it save the ironsight for ever, but i just want to immediately use it) I know about the tutorial posted above me, but that is to save it for ever, i just want to use it in the current game(atleast if this is possible) [B]EDIT:[/b] nevermind, it just doesn't seem to work with normal hl2 guns for me

Incredible coincidence. I'd like to see someone make an Annabelle SWEP with ironsights and all the works. It'll most likely be better than mine. (I have little experience and no releases.) Is it possible to change the coordinates of the weapon when not using ironsights?
Can you use this for other mods that's not for gmod. Like if i make my own mod can i use this to fix the ironsight? Awesome tool though :D
Great, but I seem to have trouble with weapons ending up left-handed, model flip isn't helping either.
