I probably could go about doing this myself but I wouldn't want to have to re-do it every time you updated the SVN. Are the entities made by the factory suppose to use up tiberium to spawn?. Because they don't.. any chance you could code that in? :D.

I think you could use ents.FindInSphere and calculate if theres tiberium and if there is slowly "kill it" or something similar. As for what you were asking me, couldn't you make it so you could spawn small everything without needing tiberium but medium-large require it?. One way you could make the factory function is to take xx tiberium for every model.. you could do this the same way LS3 uses resources. Anyway, it was just a thought.

Also, a growth accelerator would be useful around now... i made a ship that harvest them using a large harvester on the front, if i can place an growth accelerator on the back, i can harvest in front of me and at the back of my ship the tiberium around the harvested area gets a grow boost so the area that's mined restores back to normal faster. Another idea: a toolgun that spawns a big parent crystal, it rises out the ground and will produce tiberium of the colour it is around it, and it's near impossible to mine it away. that would be very useful for admins in server so they wont have to spam tiberium everytime someone mines it all away, and the crystal just stays there when they leave, so people like us on the forum can mine happily on. oh and to find all servers with tiberium, refresh servers and once its done (if you type it before it's started it won't show any servers) type in tags bar: wtiberium (or wt) then a list of around 7 servers will pop up with it [IMG]http://localhostr.com/files/7d7921/gmod%20Wtiberium.jpg[/IMG] and ANOTHER idea: when any tank that has any kind of tiberium in it (raw, chemical,refined and so on)gets damaged it starts leaking tiberium, making it grow around it, depending on the kind of tiberium in the tank the procces speeds up (faster growing crystals). this makes it even more important to protect the tanks, not only for value, but for your entire ship! and maybe its an good idea to this that if the tiberium reaches wire, thrusters or any kind of controls the controls disable(same for life support then).
I'm still working on the texture for that canister I made. I'm considering giving up on it at least for this round. Anyone want to take a whack at it? I have the UV's all laid out. Just give me an image size, powers of 2 only, please(256, 1024, 4096-recommended minimum size). What I think would be easier work is a parent crystal. While I would prefer a blossom tree, only a crystal formation is an able substitute for all three varieties. Unlike the older version, this won't be the size of a small skyscraper, and should ultimatley come out to 1.5 to 2 times a player's height. Word of warning, never said it would be great, or that it shouldn't at some place be replaced. Unless of course, nothing better comes along.

(71.121.248.3:27024) [/QUOTE] lost world is ok and has most of the time people and admins, too bad the SBEP isn't latest version... misses the tools and some props of the latest version (but the server has an relaxing space song, from EVE i think), locutus server has latest SBEP but the're less players (and lf2 addons).

My computer loads in five minutes most, often less. I think if the factory started taking resources, it should be refined tiberium(Or a further refined version of it) to produce stuff, as it's pretty much a construction material. And it wouldn't make sense to take other resource types, especially if that item is required to make the other resource(s).

I love the 'bowl' with the radiation cure. What do you guys think about making future Sweps/weapon sents use manufactured ammo like Gcombat used to have? Or at least energy. That would give a point to harvesting besides the sheer fun of it.

[/QUOTE] thanks! i wanted my cures not to roll away, so i just easy precisioned the bowl with the world and spammed some in, simple and life saving. (also notice the tiberium growing on the crappy lava) im working on a better harvester (the one on the pics did have 27000 storage, the new one has 63000)

It is well documented how much lag LS3 will cause on a server without some proper management. The tanks themselves don't lag, true, unless connected up to LS.

The only way you could tell it was lagging is if you weren't playing on the same computer/internet connection. So shut up about system performance already unless you're offering pointers on how to make this more efficient.
