The other thread was unsanctioned, this thread was dead, "SurferDude" bumped it and then a community member went and posted a new thread. The gamemode isn't OpenAura, its Nexus. The SVN has over a gigabyte of content, there are also several maps made specifically for the RP. There was also a SWEP base created specifically for the gamemode which includes a blocking system for swordfighting while using the built in stamina system.
Just clarifying things before people go ahead and assume whatever they want to assume. I don't really see what you mean by 'Leeches' (assuming you meant leeches) maybe instead of bashing the server, take the time to actually check out the server. Now this thread should be locked anyways because it's old and has been bumped unnecessarily.

The server isn't really the problem, I admit they did a good job, but the hgn community is full of idiots and their leader is a dictator, you should read the chatbox on their forums more often.

Basically a Schema, yes it is. Nexus was basically refurbished and given a ton of new features behind the scenes (and being having to get fixed after every update), it also comes with a global physgun/tooltrust giving ability for administrators and a toggable thirdperson. I highly suggest you check out the server, because i'm pretty sure that it'll prove you wrong. Nexus isn't even supported anymore and the base has been renamed.

It's roleplay focused, there are a broad selection of npcs that are spawned by admins for events and such e.g. Giant spider, mudcrab, giants and wolves.

The other thread was not offical but recently done and then someone bumped this old thread. This is not a subgamemode this uses worldscript (A variant of nexus). The base and the schema are entirely unique as one should expect for a medieval gamemode. This goes for sweps, systems, npcs, weather, day/night, rideable horses, swordfighting (parry, block, stab etc) and more.
As for models i ported alot of the content from other games myself so yes i think i do deserve all credit for porting that content and any i found floating around gmod into our content on the svn.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion however some more than others. The forums have a unique row style to easily display alot of information at once without having to scroll down so far. Our servers are just fine otherwise no one would play and we would not have done SRP for 5 years like we have. Every gamemode has bugs, as a lua scripter you should accept that fact.
HGN does not ddos or take part in malicious behaviour what you hear are rumors which is probably what you are baseing your statement from.

Your opinion. Crussaria isn't for everyone, it's a "new" variant of "medieval" roleplay for one. It's not OA it's nexus and while it does have to an extent the hud and under the hood stuff still somewhat the same alot is different, the "schema" as it's called is entirely custom.

Your community has been alive a long time, yes. But it's been empty, all your servers are empty. So you could have been up for 20 years and still not have accomplished anything. Don't tell others you're not a dictator, those who have been close to you know just as well as I that you don't take in suggestions at all. I know various situations where the community, including the most respected members of the staff wanting something and you not doing it.

If you're not a dictator why did recently a large portion of your staff and players leave? Why does SRP never get above 10 players. Why does fallout RP hardly get 10 players one day of the week. I can't really speak for crussaria because i don't look anymore, but back awhile ago I never saw a single person on it.

I was on holiday for two weeks in which i came back to inactive admins and low-populated servers which has been brought about due to several reasons with the highest that gmod13 approaches and is making people hold off as they see no point in playing when their characters are going to be wiped.
Our servers are gradually picking up again and will get active more as the summer ends and people return from vacation and gmod 13 is released to which we should hopefully be ready with a modest script for our servers which i will develop.
As a leader certain choices are made for various reasons such as stability, progression and development whatever descisions that i have done that you hold negative by all means pm them to me and i will take in your viewpoint in them. However it looks to me that you rely more so on what others say than what you have witnessed yourself. Unless you are refering to the ARMA 2 incident where you wanted to use HGN as a playerbase for your ARMA 2 stalker server. To which yes i supported at first but found it made our servers inactive until people got bored of it and we fell out.
HGN is not the only community effected right now by the gmod13 issue either.

There is usually a good reason for people like Me, Creeding, Afromana and others for leaving that community.
I think everyone in this thread can agree that HGN is [IMG]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/box.png[/IMG]. Some, if not all, of their roleplay servers are ran using 'script functions' meaning it doesn't matter if you roleplay fighting, you can just start killing people as long as you have better items.
I started playing their servers as my first roleplay experience, and I really enjoyed them[for the first week], then I tried a different server and it was so much better, so I just dedicated my time at HGN trolling like an aspie. Most of the admins are abusive and retarded, there's very few good ones, Paintcheck, Tom, Killabreu, Jake and ThY, that are not stupid.
But that's a whole different discussion, the leader, Silverknight only cares about money, he even offered to unban me after spamming his forums with the most anal-retarded messages, for twenty dollars. He says he only does the best for HGN, yet [I have no proof of this] but even his own members claim he has DDOS'D other servers.
Also, those content packs you make that are taken from tons of garrysmod.org members which you give no credit, renamed to HGN/ncrranger.mdl or HGN/powerarmor.mdl. You don't own them silverknight, :)

Again this is not about the communities reputation, you are here to discuss the server by either giving it constructive criticism or opinions.
My opinion is that the server has potential but in order to get it to it's working state will require more players with good back-stories and involvement in the Lore.

I honestly pity you for believing that Garry's Mod 13 is the ONLY reason your servers are crumpling away to dust, if someone is so fucking dedicated that they play on your servers basically every day (obviously nobody is like this if your servers are p much always dead lmao) why would the knowledge that their CHARACTERS wont last forever stop them? Oh man, a role-play thread full of arguing, and bickering pointlessly. I'm so surprised.
Alright, here are the logs where we were serious rping, tried to knock someone out, and they completely avoided our RP and ran off, the admin lied and said they sent the person over here, and a player + admin say that they can avoid all combat roleplay. After this occurred, we tried to interact with another person, the admins kicked our entire group of 5 with the general reason of "we can't interact with that player."

Reguarding to the logs, You guys were kicked for being a horde of lolbandits that came into the server wanting to be "River Pirates". also when the admin came by in observer mode you guys were 10 feet tall, and had other unnecessary looking PAC stuff, one of you had a kitchen pot on your head for a while there, really? This indicated you were trolls before an admin changed your name. Then you guys seemed to straighten up, but we kept an eye on you but you guys seemed to hostileRP to everyone you seen, without the consent of the other players RP experience. There were too many of you to even defend in character, which makes it sort of unfair if you are just going to do that to anybody that you see. Thats why we said the player can void you, because you all seemed to not get the point that the players come on to roleplay. Not get thrown into a river and robbed. Might as well just play on an apocalypse RP server, where it actually makes sense to not be civilized. I am sorry, but you guys can come back and roleplay normal peasants and not bandits. Don't try to make the server look bad, because we already had a problem before you guys came on, which we were all kind of stressed about.
So you are saying that we can't couldn't bandit RP someone because it was 5 on 1? He ran into the forest by himself and ran up to our group of 5, by himself. I think the mistake was his. I'm not trying to make the server look bad at all. The first log was us trolling, and that kid acting like a moron because his sword was sheathed backwards and he decided to call me a cumlicker or whatever.
The second log was us acting serious, and you wouldn't let us. Everything was legitimate and you [b]gave the same moron permission to void our roleplay because he was outnumbered 5-1[/b]. And yes, players do come on to roleplay. And so did we, so we did. And when we did, you told that player [b]not[/b] to roleplay, ruining all of our roleplay, so you're kind of just ruining the rp for everyone in that situation, yeah? Also i'm pretty sure like the massive majority of people in medieval ages, and generally in all fantasy games are not civilized what so ever.
Anyway if I were you, just add "No bandits allowed", in the OP of the thread and in the server rules because clearly, that's the situation.
