I was going to post embedded MIDI (because they're like 10KB instead of 10MB what the fuck are you guys doing?) on mine but forgot webkit doesn't support embedded midi files. MP3 is a joke, WAV is just retarded. I Tried rendering it as a monaural OGG but that's still 1MB. Oh well, I bed embedded content crashes like 10% of players anyway.
It's shit aye?
This is my TTT loading screen: Click here!
That is the best loading screen I have seen in a long time.
Can someone host a picture for me? IF someone could, i would pay em :)
Sure, I can. What picture is it and how much will you pay me?
Sure, I can. What picture is it and how much will you pay me?
Charging for something small is greedy, in my opinion. PM me, if you want me to host some pictures for you, if you don't want to use a public image host.
He offered. I'd do it for free, but if someone offered you money, would you take it?
But when i go to my garry's mod everyone say's the picture doesn't fits, whenever i change it it wont auto resize for theme :(
To me it seems like you've done a pretty hacky job with that page, and I find that when you cut corners shit like that happens. When I'm off my phone, I'll see exactly what the issue is. (I'm not very sure how that is funny, but ok.) I'd be happy to host anyone's loading page and whatever files that come with it (you know what I mean, no 10GB 1080p vids). For free of course, just pm me. My server has PHP etc, so I'd be happy to help you out with that.

ill give u a living proof look at mine : equtaicloading.sexyi.am
ill give u a living proof look at mine : equtaicloading.sexyi.am
Not sure if that was intentionally supposed to crash my firefox, or not, and the text alignment is horrible, in my opinion.
i was wondering how i can add music to the back ground ? any one know?
Read the first page for gods sake. [editline]21st January 2013[/editline]
ill give u a living proof look at mine : equtaicloading.sexyi.am
That is yucky.
Since people are posting their loading screens here, here's mine. I have embedded a YouTube video but it doesn't want to work on Linux because the player is too small, yet it worked when I had the HTML on my computer. Any suggestions?
I have embedded a YouTube video but it doesn't want to work on Linux because the player is too small, yet it worked when I had the HTML on my computer.
Wait so the music doesn't play on Linux? There isn't a Linux copy of GMod (unless you mean the server, but the server shouldn't be playing music, lol)
My web server is running Linux. When I load the html file locally, the embedded YouTube video plays without fail. When I run it from the actual website, the embedded video frame is too small because of YouTube's API limit.
Well it looks like you're putting the video outside of the body
Well it looks like you're putting the video outside of the body
I put it outside of the body because that is how BlueFellow did it. I'll put it inside the body and see if it fixes anything.
Don't put embedded files in the head tags. It may work occasionally depending on browsers etc (cough cough IE), but the correct way is to put in the the body.
It is possible. Heres mine. www.playersdomain.org/load/fallout.html Its meant for users with a screen resolution of 1280x 1024 You just need basic HTML/CSS knowledge to make a loading screen :L P.S For a loading screen don't use a local sound clip, as it takes longer to load. (In my experience anyways)
Thats a really horribly coded site man, you got everything so wrong :/ hard to believe it runs at all.
Thats a really horribly coded site man, you got everything so wrong :/ hard to believe it runs at all.
Well not everyone can be such a 1337 w3bs1t3 mak3r as you
I got my own now :) CLICK HERE
Thats a really horribly coded site man, you got everything so wrong :/ hard to believe it runs at all.
I tottaly agree with you, its horrible that is made for 1 resolution, the major or my friends run 1920-1080 moniter....
would anyone be willing to help me out with a loading screen? Im new to html. Just something basic and neat looking but not to complicated since I can't really offering anything in return except my gratitude and thanks (and donor on our server if you want it).

If your good with photoshop you can just make a picture and save it as "bg.jpg" with a 16:9 resolution. I made it real quick, but all it will do is make an image full screen so you don't really have to mess with any html.
This is what I edited from Zackyo's loading screen. Changed a few things. (Also cleaned up that mess you had.) Here is a live version of it. (Of course some things may be broken because you're not joining the server.) Download here. (May take a few seconds. Contains mp3 files that I didn't make.) Has a changing picture background and a background music player. I suggest you read the readme.txt. Enjoy :) UPDATE: So it was night time when I released this and messed up when I coded the loading screen. The music doesn't work, but now it will you can download the fix here. I also updated the download link so if you are downloading it after the date 3/20/13 you will be fine and not have to download the fix!
Well, I read everything and thought, why not jump on the bandwagon. So here is my loading screen for my servers. Lots of php in there so trying to steal the code wont help to much unless you love my cat.
http://mk-servers.com/gmodlding/index.php?steamid=76561197974470705&server=ttt
Posted from my phone, so I hope the post doesnt mess up.
You can also use Youtube videos if you're lazy. You can make them invisible, which makes it that much better.
<iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dQw4w9WgXcQ&hidden=1&loop=1&hd=1"></iframe>
This should work perfectly. You have to change the part after /v/ but not after &hidden. This is the video's unique ID. If this were your video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ The ID would be after v=. Have fun.
