From my trawls, I could only unearth a "resource drainer" which was made for RD1, so would probably not work.
the life support works but i don't have some of the things that sould be there like

This is the exact same thing that is happening to me.
Which mods do you have installed, because I think that it might be some sort of conflict?
I'm getting:
"autorun/server/sv_resource2.lua:496: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value"
everytime I use the supply connector (soon as I plug it in). What does it mean exactly and how do you resolve it? Thanks.
I don't know, whether this question was asked anywhere else before. so I ask it here again:
When I save a game in "Spacebuild 2" with Resource Distribution Parts on it, and then load it again, already linked generators don't work. And when I try to link these generator, or whatever it is, to something else I get an "
autorun/server/sv_resource2.lua:612: attempt to index local 'net1' (a nil value)" Error.
What does it mean, what can I do, and will there be a fix for it?
Line 496 :
pusshed = pusshed + RD2_PumpResource( net1, net2, pump, rate, (Socket.pump_active == 1) )

I'll see if I can track the cause of this down.

We know there is a problem when saving. We will try to fix this if possible, but I don't know yet if that will be possible.

Working on an update to the Base RD2 Stool code. So that it allows devs to add custom options to the stools. It's still a wip, but it should make the base code a bit more open for customisation.
I found a bug in the sv_resource2.lua file, line 496, attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value, it comes up when I hook up 1 supply connector to another, and they both have pump checked, this happens with CDS and oilmod so far, and I think it's gonna happen to all the ls stuff, for me anyway, so is there a fix to this already? Or what?

I going to be making a base stool class for wire soon (better than the one I made for RD2). I may add it RD2 too as an option. I may also rework the buttons I made to use derma better.

I'd think it normal for it to not function if you have both pumps on, in fact the pressure should blow the connectors hose!
You should never have more than one pump active for each socket pair.
Last time I checked, wiremod.com was down. That means the SVN didn't work for RD2 and Wire. I'll check again to see if it's up.
I Checked the Wiremod SVN and the RD2 SVN right now and they worked. I don't know what's wrong at your side

It works now, I guess it was just last night.

Yeah it was down for me to.

The RD2 code has been edited so that both pumps must be on for it to function, but then that divebombs into error spamming, and therefore, I can only use it in servers, on kickass buggys, or battleships, where they require mass stores of this crap, petrol, and how the hell do you make diesel now? There are no tools or entities for making it, so how do you make diesal for the diesel fuel addon???
Please help, i really want my Life Support 2 to work i only have 3 item in my environmental control and i really want the terraformer and atmospheric probe and the other stuff to! please, i have been looking for help for a few days now.
Start a game with the Spacebuild gamemode, (If that doesn't work, possibly make sure that it's on a spacebuild map)
Start a game with the Spacebuild gamemode, (If that doesn't work, possibly make sure that it's on a spacebuild map)
It has something to do with RD2

You need to be in the spacebuild2 gamemode. If it had anything to do with RD2 then no tools would show up.
Be sure it's Spacebuild2. Not spacebuild1!

Err, when was that? It always works perfectly with only 1 pump for me, and that is with SVN version, on the other hand it never works with 2 pumps (for me at least) so I don't know where you got that idea. (Remember, the pump is there to force direction of flow, how can it know which way to pump if both pumps are on?)
hmmm, good point, but It only works when I have both pumps on, it's the same in the Lost Worlds server, when I only use 1 pump, it doesn't do anything, and which pump has to be on to transmit resources to a carrier? Pump on the carrier? Or the reciever? I don't know.

Pump on the transmitter (the production facility most of the time), plug plugs into that and the pump pushes the resources over the line to the receiver (usually a ship).
I'll see if I can get you a screenshot or two of it working.
This is the setup: my factory is already filling it's tanks and is connected to the pump socket, the non-pump socket is connected to a resource cache that is empty (I've added resource meters for ease of reference).

Here the plug is connected for the first time and the cache is starting to fill with the much needed resources.

Here the cache is full and we are ready to disconnect, if this had been the resource cache of a ship you would now be able to take off and do some exploring!

Hope these helped and have fun!
it helped a lot friend, thanks a bunch, I'm sure some other people will find it useful too, so good to ya. So I'll be headin home soon from school, to kick some butt on the Lost Worlds Server! username on their is Tanker Killer Steel, keep an eye out for me, I have a knack for building good ships, and I'm an elite pirate, so look out!
I'm having problems with this on my server. After I Installed this, The link tool no longer works. I then went back to the first resource distribution and it works fine.
What addons are you using?
do you have both RD1 and 2 installed? if so, delete RD1, and it should work, if not, remove all addons and only put into the addons folder Stacker, LS2, RD2, SB2, CDS, Gcombat, GCX, and Advanced Duplicator, and Wire, those for sure, I know work, that's because I use that setup.

It did help dude, tried it out yesterday, worked just perfectly, thanks for the great tip, and now I'll tell you something, I have a super generator, an Admin one, that gives EVERY resource at equal to or over 7000 units a second, it's on the Gcombat Discussion custom forums, addon format, just put in entities folder in addons.

I have all of those (Besides CDS) And I still get the error message "Conduit source invalid" I was trying to connect a solar panel to a storage thing and it didn't work. SO then I tried some Gcombat stuff to munitions, but that didn't work either.

You sure you don't have RD1 or an older version of the Advanced Duplicator? (Why the Advanced duplicator? Well because RD1 used to be updated a little bit through it. And having the older Advanced duplicator simulates the use of RD1 and thus causing the same problems as if RD1 would be installed).
Could you make the supply connector and atmosphere probe models smaller, or give a choice of models which could be used?
Also, is it possible to make it so that Wire components (the gates etc) can consume energy?
that would be kind of hard, but it's possible, just check the air_compressor entity's code, and see what it uses to apply an energy drain, then just put that into the gate's code, and bam! you've got something that doesn't work until you put energy into it. I think, ask the guy who made wire mod, I think he was called Erkle, or something, not sure.
bit of a problem for me. if i understand this correctly, RD2 is a addon type file right? ie, can just be dropped in the addons folder. well, when i do that, it still tell me to install the resource distribution file when i try and spawn something from the environment list in the tools menu. anyone else had this problem and if so, how do i fix it?
