Can you make it so the pump-rate (and activation of pump) of supply connectors is adjustable through Wire inputs? Perhaps it could be set to a percentage of the value specified at creation time and that upper-limit itself be sacrosanct...
bit of a problem for me. if i understand this correctly, RD2 is a addon type file right? ie, can just be dropped in the addons folder. well, when i do that, it still tell me to install the resource distribution file when i try and spawn something from the environment list in the tools menu. anyone else had this problem and if so, how do i fix it?
I think you installed it wrong, My RD2 works fine :)
I think you installed it wrong, My RD2 works fine :)
hmmmmm. well, how do i install it than? from what a friend of mine told me, if a file has a info.txt file, it's to be put in addons. how did you install your RD2?
SVN or .zip?
the one accessed by the link at the start of this thread
That is the SVN, Did you Download it with Tortiose SVN?
yup. did the SVN checkout, and put the files in a folder and put the folder in the addons folder. no good. gmod still says to load the stuff it needs the resource distribution
Could you give us a rundown of folders in your addons folder? Perhaps there's something in there that's messing up your RD2.
hmmmm. well, before i do, because i have a long list of stuff that would take a while to type up, it would make since to ask if anyone knows of any addons that are already known to mess up RD2. EDIT: anybody?
Did you make a folder for RD2 then dropped the folder that contained RD2 into it?
i tried it both ways actually, zip and SVN. with the zip, i downloaded it, extracted the files, and put the resulting RD2 folder in the addons folder. and with svn, i made a folder on my desktop, did an SVN checkout, and put the whole folder into the addons folder. neither way worked. every time i try to spawn any of the items in the lifesupport genre, i always get a error in the corner of the screen saying something about Global 'ent' and the usual error in the middle of the screen about needs RD2

Also tell me EVERY SINGLE MOD you have, conflicts can be found. Don't do these suggestions and you may never get to use LS2 and mods that require RD2.

These 2 are the most common ones to interfere with RD2. But you giving a list with all of the addons you have would be a lot more helpfull since it could be a mod that noone has tried before...
i don't have an earlier RD, thats for sure. donno about the an older version of advanced duplicator. i'll look into that. and heres a list of all the mods i have. the cse nighteagle, combine laser fence, egon guns, hopwire, shockwave gun, gaussgun, EXTREME flamethrower, whitemage, bfg, epimetheus, PHX, hacknest, SPARTA, space shield, sentinelTurret, Fub4rs custom weapons, molotov cocktail, jetstrike, amraam addon, wire model pack 1, wire, zf-1, vortigaunt gun, vip-sweps, turret, sweppack, vmf suite, tornado gun, star wars mod, ringtransporter, strider-cannon, stormswep, reaperscripts, portalgun, magezombies, jumpmodule, gunship, grapplehook, h-naquadah systems, jetpack, jetpack resources, halosweps, adv duplicator v1.836, bouncyball shooter, atomicbomb, goudXnuke, flybywire, freezernade gun, fusionbomb gun, oilmod2, clusterbombs, gmdm resources(goes with the stargates), fighterjet-pro, black hole cache, stargate_resources, razer, energy generation, plasma gun, gdo 22419_gassystems (gas addon for lifesupport), empcoil, stargate, gui panel, powered omni laser, drunken master, energy sword swep, stargate dialing computer 1.6 + lib-gui-panels keep in mind, this is how the folders that are extracted are named.
Download the latest ADV. Duplicator from the wire SVN ( www.wiremod.com )
You could try removing all of them except for LS2 and RD2, if it works then, start adding your other add-ons until it ceases to function, it’s a lot of work but it has the highest chance of success.
Download the latest ADV. Duplicator from the wire SVN ( www.wiremod.com )
alrighty. will i need an SVN URL, or just right click and update? Most of it you don't need or use, and plus is slows down Gmod, sometimes considerably. Remove all SWEP addons, they are practically useless.
I got this and still see errors for some models. :(

Does GCombat work with this?
Does GCombat work with this?
It requires RD2, so yeah it does work with Gcombat.
Thanks!
I have followed all of the instructions and help I could find, but RD2 does not work. The addons using it say that i have to download it, even though it installed correctly and is sitting snug in my addons folder. Is there any way i can get it to work?
Awesome, keep spacebuild going.

I'm having a similar problem to Sgtjawa. I cannot get this working in singleplayer it just tells me to install Resource Distribution Addon, despite the fact I have RD2 installed. It works perfectly if I join a multiplayer server, just not if I try and play singleplayer. Sometimes I get the following message when I start a SP server. ERROR: Hook 'lifesupport_think' Failed: autorun/cl_lifesupport.lua:88: attempt to call global 'LocalPlayer' (a nil value) Removing Hook 'lifesupport_think' When attempting to place LS objects I get variations of the same error (and the prompt to download the RD Addon). stools/life_support.lua:74: attempt to index global 'ent' (a nil value) stools/energysystems.lua:79: attempt to index global 'ent' (a nil value) I have the following addons: LS2,RD2,PHX, Adv Duplicator, CDS, Empires Imperial models, gmgd resources, stargate, wraithdart, wire, wire model pack 1. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm longing to spend a couple of hours making something without being randomly nuked.
