I can't remember where I read this but somewhere on FB some dude was like "Don't complain about the weld tool! It will NEVER get any better." It would appear that he was wrong. Which proves a point, nothing is impossible, so don't ever fucking say it is.
-snip-
... actually physically turns all the props into 1 prop. reducing the ammount of CPU useage? parent tools only prevent net traffic being sent for Collision data for props given the physics_multiplayer entity type... Learn Lua and open up some1 elses work before you open your mouth... because when people open there mouths they just remove all doubt...
Has anything occured with this tool? Such as dupe support, or general stability fixes? This tool holds increadible potential but I've heard nothing about it. Edit: I just read that dupe support was added, but my version currently fails to dupe. The svn doesnt update, has the repository changed?
How to SVN. I'm new at it :3
This is an awesome tool, but there's two things that are really needed IMO: 1) Players need to be able to weld and physgun at any point in the 'new' prop. As-is, this tool's functionality is limited, but still useful. 2) It's actually pretty hard to find this forum link. This could potentially permanently change Gmod, but a lot of the community doesn't even know this exists. When you've got a finished version, I'd recommend uploading a release somewhere. But yeah, this is one of the best tools I've ever seen added to Gmod.
Anyone else involved in refining the instrument or have decided that a road to nowhere?
adv duplicator saves it?
No =(
THREAD NECRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With Gmod 13 garry is shi[[ing his own engine- so maybe the clientside prediction might be a possibility
garry is shi[[ing his own engine
I had to read that twice, completely different meaning from what I thought
I don't think that's going to happen. Seems unlikely. I remember people hyping up the idea that clientside prediction might be added by default but nothing seems to have come from it. If garry had any intention to add it then he would have done that long ago. This ship has sailed. [editline]ass[/editline] Though I hope I'm wrong.
Please do not give up on this. This is a mod/tool that is truly NEEDED!
Please do not give up on this. This is a mod/tool that is truly NEEDED!
Its on the workshop next time look for it, Before posting in old threads.
Correct me if Im wrong but I think the functions added in gmod 13 should make this possible without a DLL. Is this still maintained or has it been dropped? If it has I could see picking it up for Haza after I finish my current project, with his permission ofc.
If someone wants to take this up they're welcome to, it's functional as is but I was having issues with the center of mass being way off and I haven't really been bothered to mess with it since. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7934790/gmod/stool_polyweld.zip
I'd love to see this made into a viable replacement for the regular weld tool. Here's hoping someone will pick up on it.
if garry worked on this from 2years ago up untill now, it would indeed replace regular weld thousand times over, but garry had more important things to do like improve interface, delete some tools and add a tool to manipulate with npc body parts :rolleyes:, change button models to some huge joke cr*p models, add more player model customization & workshop & things like that, yeah, those are the things g mod really, like really needs *thumbs up*garry, you're heading in an awesome direction
