That is totally dependent on the download server. From Texas to California on a 25/up FastDL server and 30/down internet, I can download Evocity 33x in 30 seconds.

I already replied to you in the Workshop thread, so I'll put it here as well.
The skybox matches the one that was used in the original v2, and the lighting is exactly the same so far. I aim to improve the map over time and make it less laggy, so leaving pessimist comments doesn't help at all.
Do you have any major problems with the map you'd like fixed? I aim to make my edit much better than others, by catering to the people commenting on it and optimizing the map to give the best possible FPS in all situations. Issues pop up all the time, and obviously, the original map had many, so I'll gladly fix those if you tell me the issues in a non-rude manner.

Love what you are doing. Honestly I prefer this over HeadAttack, is there any reason I would drop 40 frames when activating a flashlight? Could be a mod doing it. I dropped from 100 something to 70 or so, and a friend dropped from 40 to 20.

The see-through walls were a mistake while optimizing. As for the rotating doors, I never noticed that. I'll take a look at it and see what I can do.

Well that would take a long time, and rp_downtown is known for DarkRP and Is loved by alot of the players in the DarkRP community. Sure there is things that can be changed, and of course that is with every map, and every game.
But redoing the whole thing is ALOT of work, and is very risky, what I mean is that players will most likely not use the completely redone map, therefore the map maker wasted ALOT of time making the map for no reason.
Making a map is alot more work then it seems, If you are up for the task, then great I wish you the best of luck. But as of rp_downtown_v4c_v2a there will not be a complete redone of rp_downtown_v4c_v2 and rather it will be optimized
as it already has been, and slight changes will be added to improve the map. The only real HUGE changes will be that the teather has been removed for sewers custom for this map, and the admin area being removed to make a admin room,
and maybe if Rapsody likes the idea, an event area under the map which is what alot of people use the admin area for, and in the event area, you won't render the map, so It will be very lag free for events with all amount of players! (:
I plan to optimize a lot of the map first, and fix existing errors without having much impact on the map itself. The only thing I've actually removed right now is the Theater, which wasn't too useful, and will be replaced with the sewers. I'm not planning on remaking an area for now. Maybe once I'm finally done with this map (which will take a while), I'll fork it into another map with major changes?
The next update will be ready somewhat soon. I have no due date, but it'll involve areaportals. A lot of them.

I really do hope that you continue to work on this. It'll be nice to see a Downtown edit that is actually built to a unique, yet still high-quality degree. This is looking quite promising; specially all the optimisation-based changes!
I plan to keep on working on the map, but the next update may take a while. Areaportals are absolutely infuriating if you're new to them, but they're worth it.

Probably because the majority of the DarkRP community are 8-15 year old kids that are more interested in playing cops and robbers and being drug dealers than worried about the aesthetics of a map that was garbage to begin with.

I removed it because it was wasted space. It was a good 20 or so brushes that weren't needed, and further, that area is only accessible by admins; admins who don't give two shits who made the map. If they want to know what the original map was, they would know since it's cited in my original post.
Besides, I'm not even partial to giving him credit for the map anymore. Not only did he copy and paste this thing together, he's a scamming asshole. The only reason I'm doing this project is because v2 is extremely popular but extremely laggy, so I'm providing a map that's virtually the same in architecture but less laggy, along with a sewer since everyone wants one.
Now, instead of telling me to fuck off, use logic and either figure it out yourself or ask me, instead of intentionally trying to be an asshole.

You are stupid as fuck lol. I have all the models I use on my server, in one content pack. Removing all the npc's and only using the ones I'll actually use (like in packs that have multiple models). It goes from like 50mb to around 15mb. So yes, problem is solved genius..
