Rexy doesn't work for me. It's an error.
Somebody should make a Jurassic Park pack. We've already got T-Rex and the Raptor. How bout the Dilophosaurus (the frilled dino that spits venom like a cobra) That could use the Bullsquid venom spit type attack. Or a Triceratops that would use an attack like the Antlion Guard charge and ram.

How do i make the T-rex as a NPC like kleiner,barney, and breen. Since i only have the T-rex as a ragdoll can someone help.
Let's see....Uh shouldn't the T-Rex not see or sense you if you stand still?It should also just walk around if it doesn't see any prays or enemy's instead of standing still.The speed of the T-Rex is also to slow.It might also need more range of view.The T-Rex's head can pass through walls and attack you if you are close enough or he is chasing you.However the snpc is awesome

If he were any faster, the believability of his motion would crumble. His model isn't large enough to take the strides necessary to move as fast as the old one, which was massive and unrealistic. There are no plans on making him bigger. Humans stood to around a Rex's knee, and they do exactly that in GMod. His size is correct, and so likely is his speed. His hitbox hull simply isn't big enough to contain his entire body. Not even Silverlan has managed to fix this, as shown by his Gargantua snpc. Unless Valve gives support for npc's with larger proportions, this is unlikely to be fixed. Also, it wuld be much...MUCH worse if Rexy were bigger. Remember the old Rex, that could only take hits on 25% of his body? Yeah, him being smaller helps his functionality. And it also makes it a bit less jarring when he fits into smaller spaces. Mind you, sadly a lot of things were cut, and a lot of animations I made were never used. Maybe someday Xystus will figure out custom schedules, or some Lua God will descend onto the Internets and bring out everything we had hoped we could do. Some things that were animated, but cut: 1: Searching for players that are standing still 2: Having a Flare SWEP/Entity that would momentarily hypnotize him, that he would chase after if you threw it. 3: He would be unable to enter spaces too small for his model, and instead would approach entrances and perform an animation showing him trying to shove his head inside. 4: Turning animation, which would play whenever he would change orientation without already moving. I don't know why this hasn't been implemented, but then I know nothing about Lua and probably believe too much. 5: Prop attacking, where if you tried hiding behind or darted through a number of moveable props, he would headbutt them out of his way to clear a path to you. Last I'd heard he had been TRYING to do this, but I never was sure if he'd dropped it or if it was coded, but merely terribly ineffective.

I don't know why It Is but It seems half of rexys body falls into the ground no matter where I spawn it, Any one have any ideas of how to fix this?

for some crazy reason whenever I spawn "rexy :D" he has no animations and is halfway through the ground. all he does is point his inanimate model at me and make sounds.also if you get too close you will fly trough the air(headbutt) or you will instantly die by a stomping sound. but I think I might have found the problem...

P.S. Good job with Rexy :D.

I also found that rexy won't chase you if you are in a vehicle :( you should make it so he will chase your vehicle and try to knock it over and he won't attack the raptor if it attacks him he will mainly focus on you. if you can programm him enough to act like this you will be a lua god: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TqTQu2Y6_A&feature=related[/media] EDIT: he sould also attack props if they are in his way while chasing a target

Yeah, we didn't change the name of Rexy's mdl files and accompanying files, so if you have the dinosaur pack, you'll need to delete those, because the snpc is looking for the model of that name, and it's just getting the ragdoll, and not the animated mdl. Also, I've driven the airboat AND the buggy jeep, and Rexy has chased me as best as he could. Actually had a few tense moments when the jeep hung up on the coast to Odessa, Rexy following, while shaking off antlions. You don't feel right driing reverse with a TRex on your tail :D

I know because I was on botmap V3 and I made a train (2 cars) and an airboad seat up front. he wouldn't chase me even when I put father gregori on the back shooting at him!

If have this problem when i walk in front of him he does nothing. When i shoot at him he follows me and then he stops for 30 seconds then he will do it again. And i spawned some combine soldiers and in a moment he stops and does nothing. Just complete nothing.
Thank you all for your comments and bug reports! Sorry if I haven't read all your posts, I've been busy recently with other things in my life than working on this, although I'm actually going to release a REAL patch in the coming week.
I downloaded this yesterday, but feel sorta disappointed. I wish there was a way the T-Rex could just, walk around the map. Or not stop chasing me when I'm out of range of him. It would be wild if his roar could disable noclip on you if you're in the range to hear it. Or have a toggle for this if people find it annoying. Plus, he needs a higher reaction time when he gets shot by an NPC and/or a player.
Theirs always been (1) Npc that I've wanted someone to make and that is the megalodon Npc.So just try to work on that one the other dinosaurs i don't care for but the megalodon would be amazing.

His roar should disable your noclip and keep it disabled for maybe like 30 sec?! Maybe J-dude/Xystus234 could add that?
