Okay, I found out the problem and fixed it. (the main folder that was supposed to be inside addons, was INSIDE the folder that I downloaded, which has the exact same title as the folder that's supposed to be inside addons. (I only noticed this a few minutes ago...))

Please can you make a non-rd2 requiring one? I want the cool new stuff (I have PHX) but I try not to clutter Gmod too much and I do not want to get a big mod for a small one.
Yes! Yes! Yes! I did it! I fixed the problem! You know what was making that problem? Tiberium. After instalation warmelonsRTS on my server, Simple Prop Protection has stoped working. You can spawn things from warmelonsRTS without paying :/

RD2 does things very well any any attempt to make my own version would probably use the same methods or end up just being a big code steal. In this case WarMelons:RTS is the big mod and RD2 is the small one. I think your thinking about life support, not RD2. Life support is really the big bloat on servers. RD2 isn't going to lag your server by itself. Nice job fixing that problem Frankess. For those wanting a server, I had one up for 48 hours and got not a single join. Just 700+ rcon hack attempts.
Hey I have tried to download some things for this mod and I am finding it a total pain why can't you put them in with the mod or at least some links? makes our lives easier. Hmms. In lieu of a megajohnny update, this looks. Well, to be honest, it looks FRELLIN AWESOME! at last my warmelon wars can be more than just an aimless brawl or game of battleship conkers. 1 question, do the 6 'teams' get selected by 1 person and one person only, so you can select your troops in a huge brawl, or is it still 1 drag selects all? Anyhow, nice one. EDIT Nevermind my question. I RTFM. Nice.
Hmm, well after playing with it a bit, I have to say, it's cool, but I think it's been made a bit too complex. I liked in the old WarMelons how you could just spawn a couple fighters and let them have at it. Now we have to deal with Spawn Points, NRG, etc. Is there any chance you can make a WarMelons RTS: Lite? essentially, I want the new melon fighters and weapons, but without the complex system.
This is very smexy . please don't ban me if it's a internet mame. I don't know if that one is. I love this it is almost perfect as a rts for garrys mod. just keep cranking out those new melons :).

I was wondering if this will be updated to support Resource Distribution 3 in the near future once that comes out. To get "WarMelons: Lite" you simply set the WM_Toolcost to 0 and WM_Buildradius to 999999 and then spawn the spawn points in some corner. I'll make it even easier in the next version. WM_Buildradius 0 or some negative number will make spawn points not needed to be built. MegaJohnny's next couple versions might be more up your alley when he gets his point system worked out. The error you are getting always occurred and I was just way too lazy to find a better way to make it entirely unable to be moved. Thirty forum posts and no one was able to find an acceptable solution so I just left it with a physics error. If someone knows a better way let me know.
The melon target doesn't seem to want to work using multiplayer. So is this going to be a separate project of Melon Wars or a joint project?

That War Melon server Lap mentioned earlier is run by me, I was just told by a friend of this new mod, and I installed it and updated immediately. The server title starts with War Melon : RTS and then lists the other mods I have optionally. Server is up 24/7. Planning on disabling LS2 if people don't use it. On the harder side of things, I can not use the RD2 link tool to link anything (stores,generators,etc) to spawn points or transferrers. Any ideas why this happens? I don't even get errors. EDIT: Another error. I can't remove Spawn Points or transferrers with the remove gun. EDIT 2: Note, these errors are occurring in multi player. Maybe they don't occur in single player?
thanks a lot this will help if people can't find the links to this I think this has a 80% chance of turning in to a awesome gamemode! I hope this is going to be a great way of getting off the way of common life (waking up at 3:00 in the morning and having to go home at 6:00 in the afternoon). this gamemode has a special pack of Fun, RTS and Craziness!
Ok, it worked, server is running. Join people ;) there are some errors. Most serious is that ASSmod Prop protection seems to mess ownership. I could own NRG Towers (as a normal player! Couldn't build them though). But noone seems to be able to own NRG Transferrers. They're unlinkable, which makes the game pretty much unplayable.

So Yeah, I have a feeling you might be talking to me.... EDIT: I think I figured out what might be the problem, ASS mod, because It works fine in my single player, that does not have it, and this mod has not been tested with ass mod
Ok, I am going to remove ASS Mod and install ULX in place of it. And yes, it was Ryusho. :D
Hey I downloaded I did all the things I had To Do and I Don't see the tab in my Tool Tabs when I played it on SP. Whats happened? well i put the files here C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\dadwolf_3d\garrysmod\addons

(Why do I see it as garrysm od? It shows as garrysmod in edit)

I removed assmod and installed ULib and ULX instead, people still can not link spawn points or NRG transferrers.
It works But this Happens with I mess around with it entities/melon_baseprop/init.lua:45: attempt to index field 'BaseClass' (a nil value) Error: Function (UpdateTransmitState) not found! on Scripted Entity (lap_nrgtower) entities/lap_nrgtower/init.lua:15: attempt to index field 'BaseClass' (a nil value) entities/tibrefnrg/init.lua:62: attempt to index field 'BaseClass' (a nil value) entities/lap_spawnpoint/init.lua:55: attempt to index field 'BaseClass' (a nil value) And you can walk through all the base props and NRG towers.
