We're in the modern age. We're entitled to pretty graphics.
If visuals didn't matter, I'm heading back to DOS.
not really, roleplay is what makes roleplay fun..not pretty graphics. if you want pretty graphics you can play boring AAA games.

i'm sticking to my text adventures, thank you.
By the way, that post was sarcastic.
i agree, text adventures are extremely fun, too bad not many of them are made anymore ;)

I make them all the time because I have nothing better do to in my life.
Back on topic: We really need a steam group for NutScript.
you're welcome to join my related steam group
Welp, I've been talking to a few communities and they all seem very interested in running a Nutscript Half Life 2 roleplay schema, any ideas for features to implement before we go ahead and setup all the servers?

Make it so you can sit on props with a chair model with the right sitting animation.

I'm working on a system where you can customize your housing unit by adding furniture, stoves, ect so I'll tie that into that.
I think if anyone was to join a steam group it will have to be created by Chessnut, non of this non official fan group shtuff.

That sounds very cool, similar to something TjJoker was planning for his hl2rp / experiment 4 or whatever ages ago but it went down. (Ventmob)
I've been thinking about making something similar to a CID before I saw this. :P Nice job, from what I see.

If anyone can give a completely detailed list of things to do for a vanilla HL2RP schema, PM me it and I will start on it :)

Can't forget forcefields.
Can't forget forcefields.
They're a pain in the ass, though. When you use ShouldCollide it breaks physics, when you use StartTouch to propel people in opposite direction they can still glitch through sometimes.
Setup a thread for my nutscript thingy: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1307924&p=42212743
So, for some reason, the startup music isn't working for me.
any tips?
What's the value in the config?
I just found out about this framework and it seems pretty awesome. I'm planning to start developing my own schema for your framework to run on one of my servers. I would be interested in possibly talking to you about helping with development as I'm very experienced with Lua. You can check out my Gmod mine craft thread as a reference for my skill level if you want to see some of my work. (In mostly into tough algorithmic problems like figuring out the fastest way to write a specific loop or function, I'm also fairly good with doing 3D rendering stuff as a result of my work with mine craft)
On a side note, to the people who are complaining about there not being legs / other Clockwork type features, those should be implemented as plugins not as built in parts of the game mode. They belong in schemes so a scheme can customize visual goodies, not really in the framework. At least that's my opinion. Idk what the developer consensus is but I'm glad that this provides a simple framework without all the added "bling" (useless/broken) code of DarkRP.

sh_config.lua
nut.config.menuMusic = "http://a.tumblr.com/tumblr_mt1cy1mwjx1s9o3yto1.mp3"
The URL music uses the bass module implemented by garry, so that may be the cause.
How do you set your own rank?
nut_setowner <name> to make someone owner.
Use /modrank <name> <rank> to set their rank.
Started working on a new schema:

Basically the alert becomes a chain effect, but the responses for zombies farther away is slower.
