You're going to have trouble finding good RPers on Gmod.
I'm a little confused, is there a way to run the game in singleplayer? I'm not looking to host a server, i just kinda want to mess around with it.

Run a listen server for 2 people and don't invite anyone and it'll work.

So how do i make the game run Nutscript? i heard somthing about doing +gamemode nutscript in the launch options, but that just made the game crash
You don't use nutscript as the gamemod, you use the schema as the gamemode.
I've been playing on boom and game's server and my god chessnut, your HUD and GUI are do pretty. And the cp overlay and everything omg. I love you

Yeah, its filed as "sample" right? I put in +gamemode sample and it didn't do anything... well i did do something, CRASH!

It's okay, everyone starts somewhere. Nut script is the gamemode you need to run. Hl2rp is sort of an addon you run with the gamemode.
Alright, so i think i might have figured it out. When i downloaded the ZIP for the schema it has a folder called "sample-schema-master" and i thought i had to change it to just "sample" The instructions might have been out of date, i don't know. But i'm gonna try NOT renaming it and just leaving it there and see of it will run it.

make sure youre selecting the schema as the gamemode and not the nutscript folder itself, as well as remove 'master' from both folder names

Don't use +gamemode on the command line, I don't actually think that works anymore since gmod 13. I've always had to use "gamemode" "schemaname" in autorun.cfg
Fixed it so you can run NutScript in single-player now.

Is there a sample schema for Nutscript anymore? Or am I not looking hard enough...
Alright, so i renamed the downloaded Schema to "Sample" and when i run the game its there, i select it, run the game, and its just the default Half-Life 2 game, like i can't open the spawn menu at all. i must be doing something wrong.
