There are so many mixed posts and results on the internet regarding making a whitelist server on Garry's Mod that prevents a user from even connecting. I am quite confused on which method or which files I need for it to work, and where to put them.

Can anyone update this thread and help me out? I have tried a few versions of it now, and the latest states:

Gatekeeper's not really useful anymore. Garry's Mod itself has a CheckPassword hook that mimics what Gatekeeper did.
