from what I can remember with past experiences with physics. the exact same physics engine its self is implimented into 3ds max. I would have thought that the friction problem would have been a better problem to solve before rotations. but thats just me.
is it possible to get your hands on the formule or equation used to determin friction & instead of applying friction in any complex means. apply the friction in relation to the X & Y Tangents? X being up and down the planet Y being accross. applying over a tangent may be more efficent as its technecally the same as a flat plane only for curved surfaces...

Maybe I'm missing what you're talking about, but there's no problem with friction right now.
As far as news, been slow the past few days as I've been catching up on homework. You can watch the progress on SVN, but right now I'm working on further improving angles across multi-planet maps (and getting such a map on SVN) and improving how the prop sleeping works.

I'm assuming 'Prop Sleeping' is when the prop is just laying on the ground, not being touched or anything. Aka "sleeping" sense it's not having any physic calculations being done on it.

I can promise you it never dies. I will say, it sleeps for long periods of time.
With ULX as stable as it is, and with us(Team Ulysses) not wanting to add too much more to it, I believe Megiddo will have more time now when not doing important school work.
Be patient. It will come.
Perhaps the ramblings of Garry's 'one gamemode a month' will get Megiddo in gear. :)

Why would it be theoretically possible in any way for it to be used on GMod 9? GMod 9 isn't even supported, and the lua system in 9 is radically different than 10.

I Actually bought Garry's Mod 10 just to try this mod out. I hope they are still developing it.
Anyway, is the view supposed to orient itself as i walk across the planet? Because it's not working for me.
Also, does hammer not work anymore? All my 3D views are just flickery wire frame. How can i fix this?

Though I can't speak for Megidddo entirely, I can say that it for 95% sure hasn't shut down.
Megiddo has been working this, and rewritten twice (once for GM9, once for GM10) for over 2 years now.
Yes, it is a slow project. Maybe he'll finish it before he graduates college.
Does the new engine provide anything to help development?

LordGunner, though we appreciate your enthusiasm, please don't post multiple times, in various threads, asking to join the team. Besides, though Ulysses Universe shares the Ulysses name, it is mostly Megiddo's release, and NOT related to ULX.

I've not tried... has anyone attempted to run this gamemode since the update?
