Replacing the assets is something we definitely need to do, although I'll probably get the code done first. Keeping the content required for playing as minimal as possible is also a concern though.
Also one could include the content with the gamemode itself, so i won't really have to wait for my slow internet to download all stuff every time i join a server.

It could be because the nwtable system occasionally sends too much data, I'll investigate breaking the update messages into smaller chunks.

You'd need a bigger map.
Yeah, once this gets properly done there will be tons of custom maps and ships.

It seems that after a while of players spawning in modules trough the teleport there are too many entities and everyone who tries to join gets disconnected with the error message. Later also the people who are already on the server will get the error and forces me to restart it.
Are you currently working on finding a Weapons, Medic Bay, and some other systems image?

You'd have to edit the map, but as of a11, adding more ships doesn't work too well with the changes made to ships.

What do you mean "doesn't work too well?" Does it just cause problems?

It broke everything. Lighting, consoles, doors, but I tried it with 4 ships. 3 ships might work.
The only thing I find odd so far is that every room has it's own dedicated power, shield, life support module. Why can't the modules go to their intended room? Shield modules in shield room etc...
How do I fix this issue, and if I cant could you please quickly fix whats causing it:

It's starting to look like an issue with GMod's entity data table system, we might have to ask the guys working on GMod updates to see if it's currently possible for that system to send datagrams that are too large.
I absolutely love this game mode, and even though its not done right now it feels like it has everything a basic space-ship needs, However Space is still lacking and I was wondering what your planning on implementing? I thought these would be some good ideas
1. Planets ( Explorable and loot-able, they may have a city or it could be a wasteland
2. Space Stations (Boardable and contains shops and other misc operations)
3. Random Encounters (Ex. NPC ships, these can be a trading ship or possibly pirates)
From all the Sci-Fi I've seen such as Stargate, or Star Trek one of the most fundamental parts is discovery and the randomness that makes it exciting.
About the game mode and the ship I feel these would be great improvements, (By the way these are just off the top of my head so some of these features may already be in the game or impossible or stupid, I know)
1. This game mode seems only enjoyable with a crew, and every crew needs a captain. On most servers I play this on people always respect one person and follow orders, but a chain of command would be really fun.
2. I know this is a WIP Gamemode, but I feel like Navigation needs more work I have two Ideas for the system that I feel should be added, first there needs to be a way to put the ship into a full stop, second Travelling to coordinates isn't easy and I feel there should be a "Hyper-drive" You can enter the coordinates and it will fly through a "Hyperspace Window" and then you will arrive at your coordinates.
3. The Reactor seems kind of Pointless right now, I've played a server where I've tried to say, Chase another ship down, but its impossible as our ships go the same speed, I feel like we should have a set amount of power where we can say, Drain shield power and put it into navigation for increased speed.
4. I like how repairing works, the engineering section is a great feature, but we start with max tier modules, maybe Modules should be up gradable so we can actually improve our ship.
5. Ships need to have random spawns, Usually the second we spawn our ship gets blasted out of space.
6. Team switching capability?
7. Technology; Ex. Cloaking? or maybe a Hyperdrive
Thanks for making my dreams come true and making a game that for some reason nobody has involved themselves as making as great as you guys have envisioned it.

An automatic map reset when the ship is completely disabled or something like that would would be good, I need to check my server if the team has surrendered and then manually reset it.
Could you fix the system screens? They go black sometimes and users have to rejoin the server

That is already how it works, it all just depends on module efficiency. If your reactor is perfectly efficient it makes 25 MW of power. At totally busted it makes 5 MW. Last I checked the systems power draw was rebalenced so that scanning, weapons, and piloting draw more power than they used to, and life support and shields draw less than they used to.
I go over it in my guide video for the perfect module. 25 MW of reactor power is way OP, but nothing makes you "invincible" especially now that missile max speed is increased above ship max speed.
Will it be possible to create simple gamemodes for this, which could support fleet vs. fleet battles? I am having something asymmetric in mind. There is the survivorfleet, which has to reach a new planet to live on (let's call it earth). Destroyed ships will not be respawned and anyone who dies gets assigned to the other team (kinda like zombiemode). Bandits keep respawning, but mostly are outnumbered and require cunning planning. Survivors win by reaching earth, bandits by eliminating the survivors. This obviously is inspired by Battlestar Galactica.

I'll try to keep high-level game rules flexible and easily re-definable, maybe with the possibility for the game to randomly select from a set of possible gamemodes at the start of each match to assign a goal for that session.
