@ wearing9 , It sounds like a file permissions problem more than anyting else. If you are running this on a stand alone server install, you may not have given "write" access to the admin account you are using. If this is a local machine installation then it also could be a permissions issue where the write permissions are not set for that account or user, so you make the necessary changes thinking it's all fine and then "poof" the server restarts and it's back to default.
@KitKat470
You will have to make a "server.cfg file and an autoexec.cfg file with the "gamemode" of DarkRP set in each. If you are unsure how to do this, then perhaps this thread topic will help you.

If you are running DarkRP from your computer "local machine" install, then you should just be able to click on the small wrench in the upper right corner of your Garry's Mod screen and access the "gamemodes" there. If this is a dedicated server install then you need to make the necessary files I suggested.
Hey, sorry about this but I have a quick question here.
I started up a fresh dedicated DarkRP server earlier today only to be greeted with the error 'CSS is Incorrectly Installed'
I've encountered this error before and I know that the folder 'CSS' in the SRCDS folder must be moved to the /orangebox folder and renamed to cstrike.
I then proceeded to restart my server and the error was gone and everything worked great, or so I thought.
I had some friends join the server so I can tweak anything that was broken, and we soon discovered that something was still broken, and I believe it was to do with CSS.
When weapons are purchased they drop on the ground and float, as well as money and other props/entities associated with CSS. I realized this is what normally happens when CSS is incorrectly installed, but I don't believe it is.
Sorry if this has been answered before or it's a silly question, but I'd like to resolve this error. Thanks.
The cstrike folder INSIDE css needs to be moved to orangebox, not the css folder itself.
Wow, something simple, which I had previously tried and failed because I renamed the csrtrike folder to css lol.
Thanks for your help :D

Is there a way to ban people from jobs by Steam ID? And if there is a way to do that do you think you could share it with everyone, would be nice so people don't rejoin and minge with the same job they are supposed to be banned from
