Woodzy has a friend who is providing me with a flashlight model and a hammer model, so i can work on those now. Once SNPCs are fixed i'll be able to release this for a public beta.
Used to play ReDead all the time back in the day... Those were the days of good gamemodes and good content... Nowadays it's become dull.
Well once i complete the new inventory interface, add the flashlight SWEP and update the melee weapon models then i'll have a working release. Provided that garry un-breaks SNPCs. I had another idea for a random event. A weapons supply crate spawns in a random place on the map. First player to get to it gets a free random weapon and some random ammo. I see a ReDead server in GMod 13 but its HUD-less and you can only spectate.....I'm assuming Twoski's the only one who can actually set it right.
It's broken for the time being.

Okay so i can run Gmod now. I've been squashing a lot of bugs. I caved and decided to add a 4th player zombie class, the Leaper. It's essentially the HL2 fast zombie except its attacks cause players to bleed. It's also extremely weak and can be shot down fairly easily since it's the most agile of the zombies. I want to keep all the zombie classes as balanced as possible. I need someone to take a screenshot of the fast zombie's upper torso in a semi-dark room so i can make a thumbnail image for that class. I would myself but my settings are on low so it looks awful. Shit, if someone here is more artistic they could redo all of the class selection thumbnails, they look pretty bad in my opinion. I'm also adding a few more miscellaneous items for fun. There's a very small chance that you'll find bottles of beer and tequila on the map now. Beer gives you a little stamina and makes you slightly drunk, tequila gets you straight fucked out of your tree.

Well I keep trying to join, it keeps saying "Server uses different class tables" or something.
The server is out of commission for a while, i'm asking for someone to go in sandbox on single player and take a picture of the fast zombie so i have a thumbnail to use in the class selection menu. bonus points if someone can go and redo all of my class selection icons. you can look at what i have already in the content pack in the OP.

I'll post an IP and everything when the server is ready to play on. Right now, it's just being used for finding the hard-to-spot errors.
The alpha testing server is fixed with the latest version of the gamemode.

Inventory code is all patched up and functional. Pardon this bad screenshot i'm running the game on my laptop from 2007. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/bsikX.jpg[/img_thumb] Shipments are displayed on the far right. You can delete items from the shipment and call the shipment whenever you want. Not much left to do now other than fix bugs that pop up from the migration to gmod13 and add a few more features. I was thinking of making weapons have "tiers", since soon i'll be able to add some of the HL2 weapons into the mix (mainly the crowbar, shotgun and 357). Not sure how i want to approach it. I was thinking of having 4 weapon tiers, each with their own prices. Like, a tier 1 weapon costs 25 bucks, tier 2 is 50, tier 3 is 75 and tier 4 is 100. This means i'll have to go and redo the stats on most weapons if i do this. Another approach would be to simply take every weapon and balance them such that there's one weapon priced for each multiple of 5 (ie. one weapon that costs 30, one costing 35, one costing 40, etc).

Damn. EDIT : Wait, can you add weapons from add ons like in the old TokSin + server?
I want to use as little custom models as i can. There are some big changes coming up with viewmodels so i'll be able to use some hl2 weapons with CS:S hands, it'll look good. As for custom models, i'm sticking with the annabelle viewmodel, a custom flashlight model, and some custom melee weapons and that's it. The game is moddable so people can add their own shit if they want.
Okay then, can't wait for this.
I'm thinking of adding some random weather shit to the event system. Only one weather event can happen in each round, and in some rounds there may not even be a weather event. Possibilities would be light thunder, rain, thunderstorm, and fog i guess. Garry has that new sky control system so i think realistic lightning is a go now. At the start of each round i think i'll randomize whether or not it becomes cloudy. I'm still looking for more event ideas, i just finished coding the special weapon crate event where a random weapon crate appears on the map. And i just finished adding the SPAS12 and 357 magnum as weapons. Lots of variety now.
Had a little brainstorming sesh, here's some events i'm implementing. Radio Blackout - The shop is temporarily disabled for anywhere between 1 to 2 minutes. You can't buy anything till the blackout ends. Fallout - A small nuclear explosion occurs 5 miles away. In 30 seconds, the map is bathed in radiation. You slowly accumulate radiation sickness if you are outdoors. Lasts for 1 minute. I'm thinking of removing flares from the specialist buy menu because they're basically useless. I was planning to make flares relevant to some sort of special event but i couldn't think of anything worthwhile.
