Simple Prop Protection

I don't recognize this problem at all, Spacetech.

Maybe this problem is not compatible with older versions of gmod if you know what I mean... I don't thrust it.

I don't think it's the gamemode because you don't really use sandbox bound functions, maybe the Q menu but that wouldn't break the protector itself.

Suggestion:

Simple prop Protection: Disown gun
I use a mod called Crate Maker on my DarkRP the only problem is You use the Gravity or Physics gun to move them the prop becomes yours

You can use wire mod grabber to stop it becoming yours but it a bit of a fiddle moving and stacking the crates but it be cool if you add a new mode for the toolgun so players that own the stuff can disown items and props

The gun keeps track of Players in Game and gives options like N/A + Shared + World + ALL User IDs in game

Safegards only the owner can use the gun on their props and items

This ain't working for me people can touch all props also admins can touch everything even when admins can do everything is off, REALLY strange.
So think you can fix this?
Also it's really annoying when people can pick players up!

Do you have the tiberium addon installed? if so please remove.
Also make sure the SPP is turned on and you have clicked apply.

Got same proplem.
this addon are not working.
there is simply no prop protection working any more.
PP and SPP and ASSmod's PP ulx PP and Limited PP don't work.
NONE works.

i got the latest versions, but none wants to make the work and up todate :(

How is it not working? I use this on my server and it's fine. Except the buddy system still dose not like some names. But I just make everyone that is a regular take the spaces and odd symbols out of there names. If you get any console errors that info would be helpful.

Sorry for double post,

any ways, the SPP doesn't work in that way it doesn't save buddy list,
even if you click apply :(

so you can't add friends or anything to be able to touch your stuff :(
i will need to completely turn it off,
if I want anyone to touch my stuff...

Could some one help me out here this mode is not working for me in any gamemode. I am running on windows 2003 and running an up-to-date copy of a dedicated server running garrys mod. I am the admin on the server but other people can come on and just throw me around with the physics gun and move all my props. It says in the console that prop protection is on and working but it is not. It does remove my props though when I click on the remove props button so I know it has loaded up but I can not see why it is not working.

Does not matter I removed all my other addons and it was one of them. So all fixed now.

I have encountered one problem though:

Uclip doesn't seem to work with it. People can't go through world (showing uclip is working) but people can go through others props.

Yeah I am having the same problem with my Uclip. Players cannot go through ground but can go though other's props.

Works perfectly on latest Uclip :D.

One feature suggestion (although this might be impossible/too difficult). Is it possible to make it so entity damage protection is enforced against, for example, other peoples explosive barrels/dynamite?

Well at the moment people can't blow up your wooden props. However, they can just spawn an explosive barrel and blow it up right next to it.

I use ULX, how do I make it so the admins CAN bypass uclip but every other group gets uclip?

I want to use this update but as I am super admin I don't want to be restricted in my noclipping abilities.

Also, the "Regular" group on my server is able to touch everyone's props, how can I set it up so they cannot do that?

As for if admins can noclip that is handled by Uclip not the prop protection. I believe Uclip defaults to admins being able to noclip threw anything. The problem of players picking up others stuff can complex. First make sure that the prop protection is activated in the utilities menu. Next check what addons you have some (like lynx tiberium) can break the prop protection. As for the buddy system I have no idea, sorry.
