I don't see any difference.
Maybe you should try playing it. or look at one of the many screenshots on photobucket.
I suggest making donator features I promise you that'll speed up downloads ;) Something like extra classes, 50% extra money, that sorta shit.

Silly me. Could I take a quick guess that it was you who changed my title? Edit: Oh looky looky you did! Good use of money...

Unfortunately, it's not more. But, with the way you act, I wouldn't really be surprised if you just bought me another one. Infact, I hope you do. That will just prove how low you are. ...Fingers crossed.
I don't understand your logic in taking other people's work and taking all the credit. I mean, you do shell out a quick "it uses the same 'genetic code'" in the post, but what you did is the equivalent to taking a song, scraping off the bassline and backing vocals, and redoing them. The guitar line's still there, the vocals are still there, the drums are drumming all the same... and then you call it your own.

Until you do that, your argument is invalid and you are wrong. Also your article that you linked, its funny because a three court panel unanimously ruled to dismiss the case.
In August 2007, an action for infringement was filed in the District Court of Helsinki against Universal Music, Ltd alleging Nelly Furtado's song "Do It" infringed "Acid Jazz Evening". In January 2009, after a trial that included multiple expert and technical witnesses, a three judge panel unanimously dismissed the plaintiff's case.
Also
On December 17, 2008, Abbott also testified as a witness of prosecution in the Helsinki court in Gallefoss' case against Universal Music Finland. The Finnish court reportedly threw out the case after ruling in only one aspects of the three claims (sampling, performance rights, producer rights), and the case remains in appellate court, as of January 2010
Therefore your "citation" is complete bullshit, it's not even citing your original claim that i am "taking all the credit" I win, you lose, go be butthurt about not being able to use SethHack somewhere else.

I mean all he did was make a Quake clone and then change some "genetic code". What bullshit is that.
GForts is very similar to Fortwars, think of it as Fortwars sibling, since they share similar "genetic code", but the father is different. Crediting with most of the Lua code you dismantled and reassembled. I don't have an issue with people providing edits of other game-modes, but from what I'm seeing in the screenshots you've only changed the look of it and the load-out options which doesn't warrant an entirely new gamemode. Genetic code my ass, look at this.
Tier System - Unlock new weapons and better stats for each class L4D style glow - You can see a glowing outline of all your teammates, and whoever i holding the ball Control Panel for Admins - Allows manipulation of player accounts
As far as I know, a feature list this small doesn't warrant anything ever. The only thing relatively cool that you may possibly justified in calling your own is a new HUD and this Tier System I have really bothered to look into. That, and the implementation of MySQL is neat, but the L4D glow is something also very available and I wouldn't be surprised if you stole that code from the publicly available script or the L4D-styled Lua wallhack. If I were to take Stronghold, redo the HUD, a few visual aspects, and change the weapon system, I would seriously be laughed at for calling it something totally new. No matter what, unless you do a mass recoding and "reinvention" of a bit of aspects of the gamemode, you have not created a gamemode but an edit. And you doing this with Fortwars and calling the Darkland guys assholes is just too funny, especially since you didn't ask. Combine this with the fact that you are actually a dumbass and you get Gforts. You know what would have been cool that would have warranted calling this a new gamemode? Coding this from the ground-up with minimal references to the code. At that point, I would have been very impressed. [editline]30th April 2012[/editline] Doesn't mean that it's right and what?
I'm not going to get in an argument in something i coded for a gaming community, which i am no longer apart of, over a year ago. The fact of the matter is, i was tasked with heavily modifying fortwars. Along with lots of performance, structure, and countless other tweaks, there is the short feature list i put in the OP. You still fail to clarify where i "claimed" all the credit. In my opinion i clearly stated the relationship Fortwars has to GForts, my analogy states that it is very similar, has key elements that are the same, and some coding which is the same. I never say "i coded this from scratch all by myself, rarwarwarawr". Had i felt the true desire to code something from ground up, i would have done so, but at the time i developed fortwars i was not experienced enough. However as my work on the gamemode progressed, over the course of many months, i began replacing file after file with my own code, for example networking. Some code i left the same, as someone as so diligently pointed out many months ago, because i felt it was unneccsary and there was no superior alternative to the current code. Had i coded it myself, the code would have been extremely similar, it's something one could call "convergent coding"? I am purely amazed at the anger you brandish against a small gamemode that was coded a single year ago. Is it a sin to modify someone elses work? Is it a sin to release your work so it can be used by those who wish to play or learn from it? Is it a sin to release your modifications under a separate name so people do not get confused? No, none of these are sins, yet i am being attacked as a sinner by a child who misplaces his anger in those who have done nothing to deserve such unwarranted behavior. Alas, as i have stated before, go be butthurt somewhere else dear sethhack user.
why are you guys writing argumentative essays on each other
On second thought, I don't really care enough to post in this anymore. I honestly think that the whole idea of you doing this to another person's work is pretty stupid, but that's just me.
Oh Remscar, Remscar. What a much loved coder you are. Giving no credit what-so-ever, then abusing the shit out of people when they complain.
The ever more annoying fact about you taking parts of Darklands Fortwars code using it not giving credit where due and saying its ok to do this is the fact that Darkland Fortwars was never released, it was leaked so you have stolen the code as well.
drama...ITS..EVERYWHERE!
Well excuse me for making a working on a gamemode i didn't write from ground up. Excuse me for making something people had fun playing. Excuse me!
No matter what, it's disrespectful not giving credit to the original creator.
No matter what, it's disrespectful not giving credit to the original creator.
Indeed it would be disrespectful not giving credit to the original creator.
Indeed it would be disrespectful not giving credit to the original creator.
So you don't credit the original creators because..?
So you don't credit the original creators because..?
I did. edit: I honestly find it redundant that people find the need to argue over something that has zero relevance from over a year ago. It's almost getting on my nerves, but i know better to let it.
but i know better to let it.
You sound like a wise man. Not arrogant... wise. Careful, sarcasm may be attached :\
Hi, posting as I plan to update this myself Starting to work on it..
