Can someone make a guide to this? I'm a bit confused since Oil Mod went dead.
I've Updated the SVN with some fixes and optimizations. If I can find more time later this month, I might give the tools an update and add a couple more devices I was going to add a year ago...
Syncaidius, recoded this to work with LS2 very nicely and i have it on svn if interested. I haven't released it due to lack of permission from you
Some suggestions: * Propane and methane reactors should produce carbon dioxide - currently there's no way to get carbon dioxide other than from players breathing. It might also be interesting if they stopped working if there wasn't room to store the carbon dioxide. * Natural gas extractors should only work on planets. * Natural gas processors shouldn't randomly remove the CO2 from the atmosphere. * Energy generators shouldn't have Multiplier inputs, to fit with the rest of LS3 (otherwise, you could get 100000000000000 energy in just a few seconds)

Although the multipliers on generators was to cut down on people having/needing silly amounts of gens for energy. I could restrict the max multiplier though and maybe add a console command for server admins to increase/decrease it to whatever they like. :) P.S. Yes I know the last post was 2 months ago, big deal. :P
-snip-
I've got around to fixing a few things today, the most important one being the multiplier capping. The default cap is 5, but can be changed with GASSYS_MaxMultiplier if Admins want it higher/lower. Check the SVN log for info on the other small updates and fixes. EDIT: Posted an updated version on Garrysmod.org for the SVN haters. Check OP for link.
What if you want to fit it into a small fighter ship? :3
What if you want to fit it into a small fighter ship? :3
Then you screwed :3 A small fighter doesn't need so much energy and oxygen so just make less stuff.
cant get co2? well code up a co2 maker if its that big a deal.
cant get co2? well code up a co2 maker if its that big a deal.
Anything I code won't be available on servers I play on, obviously, and the vast majority of server owners wouldn't even think of it by themselves.
Some suggestions: * Natural gas processors shouldn't randomly remove the CO2 from the atmosphere.
Fixed. Bit late, but hey.
I'm not sure if this is still being developed, but I seem to be experiencing a rather large bug. Under the generators section for the Gas Systems 2 menu, nothing shows up in the right panel. No relevant errors are showing up in my console, server or client side. I have these addons installed:

Advanced Duplicator
Stargate
CAF
Dynamic Gibs
(Tested GS2 with Environments and Life Support 3 Core, one at a time)
Life Support 3 Entities
GCOMBAT 08
GCombat Extended
Resource Distribution 3
Resource Transit System
Spacebuild 3
Spacebuild Enchancement Project and associated content
Wiremod & associated content
Wiremod Unofficial SVN
To be honest, I think I would have seen at least one error if one of those addons was conflicting with GS2. Looking through the gas_generator stool, is there actually any more clientside functionality built in, other than adding language information? There doesn't seem to be anything handling click events for the STool. Finally, would you prefer that bugs get reported here, or on the Assembla project page?
1 year since last post ima piss someone off bump
I hope you don't mind, but i uploaded this to the workshop for players who don't know how to install a legacy addon. I did not see anything on this post that said anything against this. i may have not looked hard enough though, but anyway, here is the link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=278018604 I also gave you, Pegasus, Killers2 and snakesvx the credits for it, so you don't have to worry about people thinking that I made it.
Did you ask permission first?
i'm adding him on steam to do that now actually. once he gets online...
i'm adding him on steam to do that now actually. once he gets online...
You are supposed to ask that before launching the intercontinental ballistic missile, not after.

Is this add-on even compatible with gmod13?
i'm adding him on steam to do that now actually. once he gets online...
You should always ask somebody else before uploading content they've produced, considering the effort Syncaidius put into his work. Even if you're giving him the credit, you're still stealing and uploading his work as your own.
this shit is older than gandalf
I do have his complete permission to have this on the workshop. Btw I'm only 15. haven't started any legal studies at all yet. So i thought as long as i give credits to the original creators, i would be fine. But anyway, here is the steam message https://www.dropbox.com/s/8xpz7b8oy7u6uab/STEAM_MESSAGE.PNG

As does everyone else too. :)

Thus, crediting and asking people for permission is a good practice. Also rule of thumb: try not to put personal information online!
If anyone is interested in fixing up and releasing an unreleased mining mod I worked on years back, feel free to grab it here: https://code.google.com/p/asteroidmining/ EDIT: moved to: https://github.com/Syncaidius/asteroidmining since GoogleCode is shutting down this August. At the time I last updated it, it ran fine, but obviously it won't now (i'd be surprised if it does). Hasn't been touched in well over 3 years. So yeah, feel free to fix/break/shred/mod bits and pieces of it however you wish, but as I said in the post deathdude snapshotted, the models must remain intact if you use them. :) You can replace the models with your own of course. :) EDIT: I was originally going to name it "LS3: Mining" because another mod was called "Asteroid Mining" at the time. Feel free to give it your own name(s).
