How about we don't because we have no idea who gman is or where gman was from the end of hl1 to the start of hl2 especially during the 7 hour war.

Well if that's what he meant, then no. I have no intention of doing the same thing like CoD. Unless I make it some sort of weapon that orders it in, there won't be supply drops.

The only things you need should already be on the battlefield. I also think it would be a good idea to make it to where you need to pick up guns off the ground (scavenge for guns). Like guns have low amounts of ammo to basically show that war times are hard.

The war only lasted 7 hours. There'd be plenty of ammo from massacred troops and abandoned outposts.

I know, but you should have to pick it up to keep going, as in you can't go a long time with just your starting weapons and starting ammo.

I don't know enough about BF to tell you whether or not this is a good idea, and google isn't giving me any good results.

aftermath takes place after an earthquake in Dubai/Mali or something like that
basically everyone's dying, ammo supplies low, weapons are basically gone

Maps that are in ruins, because of heavy earthquakes. Characters look different, they are damaged on multiple spots (The head, shot in the arm, no eye gear, etc) and there is some scavenge gamemode, which I'm not really sure what it is, but I'd guess that it would be something like you find guns and you use em, and you got limited ammo on that too, and if the gamemode isn't that, I can easily make something that is like that.
