Hey, I have a suggestion:
For your HUD, use blue and orange or blue and red. Orange is the complementary color of Blue and they both bring each other out. Red is also what I think the Rebels were colored on Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. Yellow doesn't really do much design-wise.

There are a lot of really good modelers out there that can help you with that. Max is one of the best that i've seen (especially for animating), but i'm sure he's busy with other things right now.

If I were you, I'd just take a stab at bonemerging [URL="http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=126330"]these models[/URL] someone linked earlier. They've got the distinct Combine synth aesthetic, so they'd work well while solving the Overwatch issue. They may need some editing to be totally viable, I'm unsure as far as that goes.
I really like this concept, by the way. Good luck with it.

Eh, I don't think it really solves the problem, they just look like more tacticool Overwatch soldiers. Distancing the models from a humanoid aesthetic would probably be a better move.

You should use the COD ported models. They are already rigged to be used as player models if you download the right ones and they look really good. And i would avoid adding anything about the resistance. a resistance wouldnt have any time to form within 7 hours, let alone 3-5 to actually take place in the war. And use a-cookies suggestion for combine soldiers during the war. it makes perfect sense. Also, since antlions came with the combine, you could add a few antlion spawns on certain maps to throw a twist into the combat, in some cases creating, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"scenario. just a suggestion.

1. I already have plans for the human forces.
2. I've never mentioned anything about adding the resistance in, cause I know it wouldn't make sence.
3. We already established that we aren't going 100% canon cause I'm pretty sure not everyone wants to play as a combine no faced robot. We are still thinking of models for that section.
4. I already am using the Antlion idea. You can see it in my list of objectives - Thumper Rush

Personally, I don't like the "blood red" color for the humans when the Combine's blue is a nice futuristic aqua. Makes them look like the bad guys.
If you ask me, Half-Life's signature "good guy" color is orange, so I'd add back some yellow into the humans' color. Let's see what HEV orange looks like on the HUD.

Cool that your using bulgaria as the setting. Its a country which deserves more recognition, hopefully when it wins the EU culture capital it will get more attention and sort its government out.
