We have begun working on the Combine Synth soldiers, like most people originally wanted. Since now I have the team, I present to you the concept art for the Combine Synth Recon:

As Nick said, definitely something inspired by it. The Combine have a very specific design pattern to follow. This muh-fugga just doesn't look like something from the Combine, much less the Half-Life universe.
I disagree, It looks combine; the second i look at it i am reminded of a strider due the borrowed aspects of it that and it was concept art for the combine super soldier before it became transhuman and not a synth/mech.
Speaking of striders, have a look at the Combine Support Synth:

That's a little to optimistic if you ask me.
Just thought i might say prehaps after you've made this for gmod you might consider this as a modification for HL2? Nobody really does Seven Hour War mods because they're too lazy to make new combine snyths to fit.

Yeah that was the point I was making there has been a few but once they're informed that there would be no transhuman combine during the war they stop, only one I can think of that's adapted is Oposing Force 2.

Most of my team actually asks me why I didn't make this into a mod. If I remember right (probably wrong), SourceMods are on C++, and I got no clue how to code that.
I'm sure lua would help you understand c++ a little, gotta start somewhere

Comparing lua to C++ is like comparing The best meal ever to something that has been puked out in an alley of a karaoke bar.
I know a friend that knows C++, Java, HTML (I think), PHP (I think), etc. I will need to seek permission from him if he would like to help you in the meantime though since I'm pretty sure he doesn't know about this project yet, I don't think he has a Steam Account either but he has a Skype if you want me to PM his name to you. That's if you want assistance with this project if you want to turn this into a Source Mod if you want to at some point, but you can still stay with lua if you like. I don't know if he knows how to lua code very well though since I don't think he has Garry's Mod :/

Thanks, but I really don't plan on making this into a source mod just yet. Especially when the SDK is limited unlike Gmod where its a fuse between Portal 2 and TF2 engines (I think).
here's another thing: are you going to make view model hands specific to the model you are playing as? rather than gordan's hev hands?
