Just uploaded the latest version, I added weighted random (you get more chance to be a murderer if you haven't been for a while) and mu_admin_panel to allow admins to admin more easily (shows all information about a player)

- Added lua hooks for starting and ending rounds
- Added weighted random murderer chance, the longer you arn't murderer the greater the chance
- Added mu_murder_weight_multiplier, default 2, the greater the number, the greater chance for a player to be murderer when they haven't for a while, 0 to disable weighted random
- Added mu_admin_panel, allows admins to view admin information on players
- Added convar mu_allow_admin_panel
- Added convar mu_show_bystander_tks
- Added convar mu_scoreboard_show_admins
- Admins can now force a player to be murderer next round via the scoreboard
I know this probably took a lot of work and thanks for doing it! Makes a great gamemode even better!
Hi, I don't know if I'm the only one getting this, but when I try to put my server in Murder it does work, but with a glitch .....
Players can respawn by pressing spacebar ..
Anyone know how I can fix this ?

Nice gamemode dude! Big you tubers are playing it! I watched a vlog from tom syndicate (TheSyndicateProject), he said he has some footage from TTT, murder and prop hunt. Most likely with seananners, so this gamemode is about to get a lot bigger!

How can I map the loot spawn on other maps? also is there any way to setup a game timer? some games will go on wayy to long due to the murderer not doing anything

It'd be really nice to get a round limiter or sudden death convar when it gets maybe murderer vs 1/2/3 people, or something. The last few people can take so long to chase and find etc
The round timer is the loot spawn if the murderer isn't killing anyone eventually the bystanders will all just shoot each other till the murderer dies. There is no round timer because it negatively affects the gameplay if either side can win by just waiting.

I thank you for your constructive criticism. I will use this gained knowledge to further develop the gamemode as it has enlightened me about exactly what was wrong with the concept. I shall endeavour to use this knowledge to its fullest potential as it has completely and fully describe exactly what was wrong with the concept. I mean no offence but it should be pretty obvious why it's a horrible concept. The gamemode is already a faster paced and more actiony version of TTT

This is not a fun, creative, enjoyable or unique way to end a round. Because the murderer isn't doing anything the round should just be reduced to everyone killing each other?

You use a round timer to push the murderers to actually do something instead of taking their time. People get bored just sitting in spectator for 10 minutes, just to die as soon as the next round starts and this causes them to leave or despise the gamemode. The timer gives them a goal within a reachable time limit, not just sitting around. It should be a pretty basic idea that you need a timer.
I coded a round timer script and added it to my server.
I think they like it, because lots of people are playing.
My round time is dynamic depending on round time (max. 7 minutes).
Once the time is 0:00 the murder gets slain.

It's pretty deep covered in my addons and would most likely not work standalone.
It would take some time to extract it..
But if I have more time soon, I might release it.
The problem with a round timer is that it allows the bystanders to just hide and wait for a win. The bystanders are supposed to actively search for and work out who the Murderer is.
I guess after a certain amount of time I could reveal the Murderer so the others can see who it is. That way they wouldn't instantly win but the Murderer would still be heavily penalise for not doing anything.

I agree with Brandon that players shouldn't be allowed to simply kill each other at the end to detect the murderer. It is RDM and players really really object to it. And I understand why - a bystander works hard to find props, to get a gun, to stay alive and use deduction to narrow down the murderer, only to be RDM'd by a teammate before he can finish the round. It is bannable on my server.
Is there a cvar to turn that off, Mechanical Mind?

If your "gamemode" has to be narrowed down to players randomly killing each other because the so called murderer decides to not kill anybody, then it should be really straight forward as to why it's a bad concept.

I can only think of two reasons, why you don't want to add a round timer.

I made a simple gamemode intended to be played with a small amount of players who you get along with. You came here expecting a simplified TTT, you get annoyed when you find something that isn't trying to be that. I try to fix these issues while still maintaining the core gameplay I originally sort after. So feel free to insult me further but perhaps try to understand my points before you start slinging shit.

I'm not sure why you're making up thoughts for me. I didn't expect this to be a simplified version of TTT. I am hardly annoyed at all just because it doesn't represent that. Also, your logic doesn't make any sense because calling someone stubborn in your current position isn't an insult.
I don't know how you can say "try to understand my points" when there is no logic behind them. The only core gameplay you've described so far in this gamemode is players killing each other when the murderer doesn't portray his role.

Mechanical Mind, can you please tell me where the lua is to change the 2mins until the Murderer has the fog? If you have less than 20 players on the server, the time is WAY too short. With fewer players, it takes longer to find the bystanders. People are actually quitting my server to find servers that don't yet have this update.

There is a convar now so you can disable it or make it longer. I made the default 4 minutes.

Currently you can setup loot with these commands
mu_loot_add <model> - Adds a loot spawn where you are looking
mu_loot_list - Lists all loot spawns
mu_loot_closest - Lists closest loot spawn
mu_loot_remove - Removes loot spawn with specified id
mu_loot_adjustpos - Sets the loot spawn position to the current position of the loot object you are looking at
mu_loot_respawn - Respawns all loot
mu_loot_models_list - Lists all model aliases
Is there a way admins can see who a players steam name is? mic spamming is a pain to try and figure out who it is
