It's a common bug with gas clouds.
Whenever I get in range to fire at pirates, I get "Out of range". I AM in range and I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting only to get the same problem.
This is because the enemies on your screen aren't really where they really are. This happened to me, but when I killed one, it spawned the loot about 20,000KM away :/
This may be in pre-alpha and this has pretty much nothing to do with the game itself but the community has already gone to shit. groups of 12 year olds in Goliaths with legendary weaponary literally Harrass anyone for taking obvious bait, of course I'm talking about the TMS group which was said to only attack pirates.
I was "hunted" (if you can even call it that) by two children yesterday simply because warhorse laid down some ore in front of 6 people and expected it not to be taken.
so perhaps some rules or shit should be placed on the pre-alpha server to create a fun experience for people willing to give the gamemode a go, so far my friend has given up on the game simply because of harrassment and I'm almost done.
It's really sad that the only way to play the game is to change my steam name.
I don't understand your complaint at all. You join the game and start playing, and notice that a group of people are mining together (TMS) with some ore dropped for the team to gather. Assuming it happens like it usually does, Warhorse then says something to the effect of "stay back, and don't take our loot". You then do not follow both such requests and are surprised when they decide to punish you for breaking the groups' rules?
Please explain further how this should be dealt with because it seems that you are the one at fault for not following simple group rules.

TMS are not "groups of 12 year olds in Goliaths with legendary weaponary". We are 20+ year-olds with Goliaths and legendary weapons, so we take our shit seriously.
The fact is you stole something from powerful players knowing full well you shouldn't have and knowing full well that they can and would seek reprisal for your theft. And obviously, we would follow out that action using the all the resources (goliaths, legendary weapons, etc.) at our disposal.

You shouldn't have stolen their shit, then. Internet space ships are serious business.
So let me get this straight you knew it was obvious bait, yet you still take it... Good job!
Anyways to more important news looking forward to capital weapons update that is supose to be either today or withen the week.
And I suggest making it so mining skill levels up based on percentage of dmg done as the current system takes a insane amount of time to level up even for the low levels of the skill perhaps making it gain xp for .5% of damage done
Some bug fixes:
- Models disappearing (They still do, when you perform the "Look At" command on an object, and your ship is not in your view).
- Some nerf on weapon and mineral pricing.
- Other things I forgot to mention.

I'm sorry but I can't take you guys seriously when you blew me up 20 minutes after I joined just because I bought the next best ship I could with the ore I mined in that time. Seriously warhorse, you guys may claim to be this big and powerful group, but your actually doing the server a disservice by hunting new players down while they are still in a tier one ship while you guys are in tier fours and fives. You guys even try and tax people in the server. I highly doubt people are going to keep playing if they have to hide their ass and/or actually visit decent ore locations.
This is just a couple reasons why I have no interest in playing until other mechanics are introduced. Maybe even a bounty system that tosses NPCs after people will deter you guys from committing a genocide against anyone who even looks at your rocks :v:

The e-peen intensifies.
@Orlin; Of course you're all 20+ year olds, as if this is a contest to see who can have the wetter dick, you guys remind me of pre-pubescent teenagers on GayZ who have powertrips because they're able to get a player cuffed and make them dance and flop about, in a sense you're really no different then them lol

Cute seeing as we never actually "taxed" anyone. And who ever killed you was most likely some random person who your assuming belonged to us. But hey believe whatever you want. For a certain Tax of course.

not a gamemode: Shit! we take shit seriously :|
I said it that way because at the time of my posting I wasn't sure what he had stolen (If it were equipment that's a seriouz busnezz). In this case he stole a stack of ore that was being given to a new player on the server, someone who was not in TMS.

TMS doesn't tax players. Currently, on occasion TMS members may supply (good) equipment to people in exchange for ore, and this is the only transaction I am aware of. Anyone claiming to tax people is not in TMS. Also there was a person online a couple of days ago impersonating TMS and saying all kinds of things, all of which were total BS.
If you knew the names of the people who were saying and doing these things we may be able to do something if they are in the server to deal with that kind of nuisance.

It happens way too often, I mean look at RP in general

Still can't take you guys seriously after the stuff I've seen your TMS band involved in. Especially that time when you kept changing your name so people wouldn't know it was you going around systems blowing up people mining.

I can't even enjoy the gamemode because certain people just blow up people as soon as they try to go after worthwhile ore in unprotected space. Yeah, you can just sit there in a safe zone and mine ore thats worth 4~ credits per, or go after the more valuable 13~ credit ore, its a no brainer which one people will go for if you can triple your profits. The problem only exists if there are higher level players camping and even blocking off the area for new players.

Stop fucking complaining, it's a good gamemode. Just ignore the assholes and get to the gameplay. And besides, wtf were you doing with a tech 1 ship in a non-protected system?
Future plans for v0.16:
- Bank system
- Weapon type restrictions (Capitals can only equip capitals etc etc.)
- Capital weapons do minimal damage to small ships, but heavy damage on capital ships.
- Nerfed the prices on rarity items.
- New weapons
- Pirates have unique drops now.
- Capital pirates drops capital weapons.
- The ore that NPCs drop have been buffed massively.
- (Maybe Markets)
- (Maybe new models for Aurora)
- Bug fixes again.
- Other things.

-ignore people that are killing him
-get to the gameplay( in which he cannot apparently, due to ^)

It's still a gmod gamemode, regardless of how overly serious you and your crew take it.
Oh boy the amount of butthurt in this just keeps rising.

Cool! I'm in a picture!
Cool! I'm in a picture!
well, actually, you're in a picture twice.
So uhhh, there has been some delays of the 0.16, but I am willing to talk about some of the new upcoming stuff for it:
First of all we have the asteroid fields now being more of a "field" rather than a "belt".
[img_thumb]http://imageshack.com/a/img543/7988/9suu.png[/img_thumb]
Next are some of the gas clouds receiving a bit more care for the visuals.
[img_thumb]http://imageshack.com/a/img199/9491/fcpt.png[/img_thumb]
Then the new design for the map of Devinity. Having spending some time to cleanup that mess on the code, it is running absolutely great. Do mind that it no longer shows the tech level of each solar system, however I did leave in the green safe zones for newbies.
[img_thumb]http://imageshack.com/a/img191/1232/247n.png[/img_thumb]
Then the long waited type restrictions, where capital ships are only able to equip capital weapons. Attacking ships of the same type as your weapon causes extra damage.
[img_thumb]http://imageshack.com/a/img841/3466/2xtc.png[/img_thumb]
The crafting system have also had a bit of a change. You are no longer able to choose, what item class you want, but instead creates a random item out of the minerals you get. I also fixed the issue with the minerals "appear" to be fine to combine. "Conflicting" simply means there are more than one type of this ore in the same combination, which is forbidden.
[img_thumb]http://imageshack.com/a/img594/7927/7yje.png[/img_thumb]
Couple of additional bug fixes:
-The M and Esc keys are now a toggle bind.
-Balanced the prices on a lot of items and minerals
-Pirates have unique and better drops.
-The drop down menu when clicking on an item on the bottom right of your inventory, no longer goes off-screen.
-Some lagg issues fixed.
-Help menu is now readable.
-Bank system has been implemented
Probably did some more things, but I forgot.
impeccable gamemode quality, we are undeserving of this benevolence
