You should keep a log of all your updates. There was an update recently and I have no idea what was in it besides the introduction thing when you first join the server.

Most of the time when its a major update The maw posts about it here.
Me, being a huge fan of space sims such as Freelancer, I applaud your work. Excellent fucking job.
The situation is this. After i cleaned up the NPC structure, the infamous 'ghost npc' bug revealed itself to me. It was one of those very hidden bugs in previous updates that I could not track, but it seems I am finaly able to fix that bug. Loot drops has been disabled for the time being.
This looks absolutely amazing.
Optimized the NPCs and cleaned more shit up. Should be safe to re-enable the cargo droppings... I also made it, so the amount of XP you gain from weapons are now based on weapon damage.
Will be following this mod very closely. Gmod needs this sort of variety, and so far I like what I've seen and played so far. Any plans to add some simple collision models onto stuff? I imagine it wouldn't be that simple though, considering these are all effects.

How complex is the faux huge map size method? Would it be possible to make a normal map that doesn't involve space that is this big, or is it dependant on it being in the vast nothingness for it to work?

Applied the updated to the server. Seems like I also fixed the server lagg issue coming from a small little error in the weapons system... didn't see it before. Lets see how long it lasts :)

Hurled out a new update that fixes a lot of the server lagg we usually get when we have about 50+ people on. Seems stable so far. Also redesigned the item classification so get to work people! This is the item classes we will be using for the end-game. Also the notifications are now drawn on top of everything! And added new ships. Do remember that going to Xehorol may end up with the risk of getting killed, since it's a high tech PvP zone. Thanks to Lucky for this brilliant guide! Thanks for pointing it out though. Anyways there is a small DDos attack at the moment. Not the server this time. While that is raging on, I will be working on a very simple market system to get the economy rolling. I am also looking into factions.
It'd be great if you would add a Sell All option to sell all of a certain item that you have in your inventory so you dont have to sell everything in your inventory stack by stack..

You can expect updates coming around April 12th. Been busy with life related issues. Kinda hard to focus on working on this project, when I don't get any income from it, whereas my work in real life secures that the gamemode is up at all. Few things I've already done however but not yet applied for update 0.17: - Added Factions - Added NPCs back - Added more solar systems - Stability Issues. - Simple player station mechanics (Working on improving it atm.) - Streaming for VIPs has been added. The UGC Community seems to have mysteriously sucked me into their development team. Trying to untangle myself from it and get on with this gamemode.
I played this with some friends. It looks awesome the movement is awesome. But its eve online for gmod. So I got bored after 10mins. Sorry but its not my style, I want action!!

There are more important things to be done on the gamemode. Balance will first start to be on the priority list when Alpha arrives and even then, it's not a big deal. Only when Beta arrives, do I start to show my concern for it. Anyone would understand that.
