Add a energy system. And every apartment should have sockets in it. And if you destroy the city generator then the city will have a blackout. And people should be be able to start their own energy company. And a stock market would be awesome

Something like that would probably require a custom map for those kind of triggers. (If they're even possible.) Stock Market is an okay idea, but I'm sure he'd have to put a lot of energy towards one little aspect of making money instead of more of the core features.

No. You would not have to edit the map at all. For any reason.

To create specifically what he said, would be less than 100 lines. Maybe less than 50.
So when there's a "blackout" what exactly would be turning off then? If the map is daytime it doesn't really matter if there's a blackout.. unless it disabled some other features that made it important.
To be honest I have better things to do.
I'll make a power grid fw nutscript plugin and release it for yall on the 20th when im back on the pc.

Microwaves/stoves for edible food or something idk. Ability to power light entities.
Ration dispensers in hl2rp
Mining added:
There are a couple of different ores scattered around the map, to gather the ores you need to hit them with the pickaxe SWEP, each ore has a different drop chance.

What will the ores be used for?
Crafting => Selling
Well yeah, but what can you craft with them that makes them worth selling? (or selling to NPC?)

Ammunition sounds like a good idea to be craftable - or even only craftable ( makes people actually have a damn reason to purchase things from each other)
I personally like the City Generator idea, as well as the crafting system. If we force users to actually craft and mine for items, this would allow for a small actual economy to form allowing users to rely on others for items and supplies.
Considering how this would be serious roleplay, crafting would be more appropriate then purchasing it from a menu where it magically spawns.
Power could be used to power items that are required for crafting as well.

I really hope people don't accuse me of stealing their ideas when I release my gamemode because this is starting to sound really similar to my design... I wish I had more time to be able to implement it even faster...

Is it going to be released to the public?
Ont: This looks nice and i hope it gets popular

Well I made an energy system in an old gamemode of mine 3 years ago to charge armored suits but nobody can really say it's my idea or theirs.
It's the way it's scripted that matters.

Yes, it will be released to the public under a license that lets you do what you like with it. It is in active development right now. The gamemode is actually called "SeriousRP".

This is true, the implementation will be different just by the nature that it's someone else implementing it I guess.
EuRoleplay sounds good too so I'm looking forward to playing it :D

At the factory you convert the ores into actual metals. I guess I could make it so you can craft ammo with them.
The Beta server will probably open within next week and I say it again it will be a beta server! It would be great of everyone could post issues on the bug tracker when it will be open, remember to focus on fixing existing features instead of adding new big ones, I don't mind small suggestions though. I will also be looking forward to you thoughts on the prices as many of the items probably will need to have their price changed.
Available Positions:
- Police Officers
- EMT Chief
- Mafia Leader
- Someone who'd like to fill the wiki
Looking forward to joining the beta server. I'm pretty sure I'll be the one heading the police department and If that's still true I look forward to making it a fun experience.
Amazing! Why not making a same systems but with fishing, wood cutting ? =D it could be amazing and we could make amazing thing!

I still got some stuff to configure for TDM, car prices and add some others. I am using a slightly edited version of the vehicle plugin available for nutscript but am not happy with how it is integrated so this is temporary until everything is done, then I'll make one from scratch with static car storages and a proper shop.
EuRoleplay will be running rp_evocity_v4b.
EDIT:
I will be working on CCTV tomorrow.
Sounds amazing.
Some WIP on the CCTV:
[t]http://puu.sh/aTyfP/92679f1215.png[/t]
TODO
Shift the point_camera 30° Left, 27° Down.
Control GUI.
And you should create a small backup generator. It will only work if it has 20 litres of oil or more. Which you can get through oil drilling(whatever it'd called).plus tax which the mayor can choose to pay government jobs with and he needs to pay the electricy bill and if he doesn't then it will be a blackout. And of course the mayor/governed decides the pay of government jobs

Looks very nice, especially how you can easily change between cameras.
