Started to use PlayX again, but i cannot spawn the entity since it says i am not allowed
I use Exsto Admin and i tried both srv_owner and Superadmin to try if i can spawn it, non worked
Ideas?
When you are on the server alone, in your server console, type [code]lua_run print((player.getHumans()[1]:IsAdmin() or (player.getHumans()[1]:IsSuperAdmin()) and "is admin" or "not admin")[/code] and tell me the result.
I would like to have local sound for playx on my server.
I've looked at the documentation, and downloaded the newtake branch, but don't know where to start or what to do to make this work.
Does anyone have a working copy of playX that uses local sound that they would care to share?

Daaaaamn, Justin.tv doesn't work. The message it spits out on the screen is
"This application has been rate limited: No consumer key provided"
Does anyone else have a problem where it tells you that the video isnt allowed to be embedded, and therefor doesent play? I tested a video, I could embed it on a site, but when I try to play it in game it tells me it cant be embedded?
Yeah that happens quite often. I'm trying to workaround it, but stepping on youtube player's toes seems to screw it all up.

Ok I actually managed to get them working. Its to do with jw player. Disable uncheck the jwplayer and then it should work, I was entering it the URL through the Q menu rather than !ytplay, but im not sure if that is needed.
Justin.tv doesn't seem to work. When using auto-detect, it says it can't find any compatible hosts. When I set it to manually use justin.tv, it says the url is invalid.
Other than that, amazing work, has worked like a charm for me.

You can host a copy of this fixed jwplayer somewhere and point playx_jw_url to it, or maybe sk89q can update the one he's hosted with this "temporary" fix?

Is there any way to make PlayX request a Youtube video using my Youtube cookie so I'm logged in on PlayX? Just to get past flagged videos.
I converted an avi video to mp4, launched http server on my PC but video wont play, only black screen.
Music playing fine btw and youtube videos too.
Regarding Justin.tv its not PlayX justin.tv has made it where you can only go up to a certain amount of rate now and must post an application to become a "Director" this is to stop people from streaming movies and stuff

Edit 2: Working Now It just took awhile for the WebCache to reset on the Server I guess? yay no more error on Theater server :)
This broke in a Gmod update for OSX users.
We get sound but no video. Does anyone have any insight on why this might be?

volume does not function anymore.

a recent gmod update broke the volume slider and console control, and overall volume is stuck around 50% or so.
I am using 2.6. Volume control only works 10% of the time with 2.6, and around 70% of the time with 2.5. I've had to revert my servers to 2.5. Videos often black screen as well; it takes a bit of fucking around with the checkboxes and media types to get them working. This all happened after the most recent gmod update.
I have done everything you said to fix the black screens I am experiencing when I use PlayX. Even though I cant see the videos, I can hear the audio perfectly fine. I also have a macosx. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help.
Playx wont even load. It says null again. I tried using the latest svn and still nothing. There is no playx option in the menu.

calling PlayX.OpenMedia works but never starts the video in the right start time even thoe it says in devloper mode starting at ..seconds it still starts at the bigining EDIT: no actualy ti works but on videos that use to show the embbding error them video will always start at the biggining ??? and i dont know why
and some times i get a weard error involving javascript
