Yes.
I'm making this mod so, I can run it with 60 fps when 2 big nukes blow up.
Blowing up 20 nukes isn't good idea, it's madness.
Also my computer specs are:
Core Quad,
2 gigs or ram,
GeForce 9600,
So it's not so wow, and should work smoothly even for low-end computers.
Light bomb is NOT dead.
I don't get it...light bomb=bigass blinding light or just something completley different? I forget :(
New M.O.A.B particle effect.

They're kinda weak... but then again this isn't a nuke we're talking about, so I can support that.

Source isn't threaded for 4 cores, what's the clock of it?
Also concerning the MOAB effects, that turned out rather nicely. The effect is fairly realistic, and should turn out very well with a nice sound effect. Although if you wanted to wing it and go for gold, make the flame and smoke appear in a semi-large radius almost instantly, the explosion of a MOAB throws up the flame and dust/smoke so quickly that it appears instantaneously. However I'm sure you could leave it as is and it would be fine.
Is it possible to make the effects kind of... instantaneous and flatter? I mean, the real M.O.A.B did not seem like it blew up and out, but rather everything was on the same plane. It was kind of flat, no?

Exactly like that, instantaneous and exploding out more so than up.

I love how that first one is tilted. Looks so awesome. And the second one looks... kinda strange to be perfectly honest. I gues it's just because I've never seen that before.

FUCKING YES!! I like the look of it, and the fact props are flying like no tomorrow.
FUCKING YES!! I like the look of it, and the fact props are flying like no tomorrow.
You can say that twice!!!
That'd be fucking awesome if those flames fade into smoke.
That'd be fucking awesome if those flames fade into smoke.
Is that possible? It would be awesome, yes, and I assume it's possible bu I really don't have a clue. I hope it's possible.
I don't think it would be that hard. Probably just place smoke particles in the places that the flame particles are in, then have the flames fade away. I honestly wouldn't know exactly how to do it though because I barely know a thing about lua particle effects.

Just emit smoke in the place of the flames? That's what I though, too, but we'll have to ask Failure aobut this one in the end.
Just make smoke with same geometry as fire, and delay it's spawn.
Also give it a small spawn alpha so it can fade nicely, instead of *popping*.
I will do it. :v:
You do realize you own Failure...anyway I'm looking forward to the release of this, any ideas when yet?
Christmas.
Pressies :)

The column of awesome flame looks too narrow, make it fatter.
Other than that... :excited:

Now that I think of it, maybe all of the columns are a little too narrow.

Yes. But consider, that, the mushroom cloud is not curling, expanding and shit.
It would be strange to see column of smoke bigger than mushroom cloud.

Why would it be bigger than the mushroom? You don't have to make it fatter than the mushroom.
Nice.

I will make every nuke, calculate if it's in water/ air / on ground.
So there will be different particle effect.
Picture fuck, god damn it.
