Yet again, a guy who makes epic things for us gets banned.
Oh well, downloading now.
Failure is the new owner of GBombs, and from what i'm seeing, I think v3 will be a lot better than the others.

Failure is keksman :rolleye:
That's not what Failure said back on page 14.
That's not what Failure said back on page 14.
He was joking :rolleye:
Failure is keksman :rolleye:
wat.
Why do you think I'm keksman?
He was joking :rolleye:
Keksman is too pissed off to continue Gbombs, let alone a Facepunch thread.
Keksman is too pissed off to continue Gbombs, let alone a Facepunch thread.
Probably.
Failure also tends to really like mushroom clouds, as in, every explosion I've seen you post has a mushroom cloud. The only bombs that have mushroom clouds are nuclear bombs, and high ordinance bombs like FOABs and MOABs. However even the latter two barely have a mushroom cloud, the cloud itself requires immense amounts of heat to produce.
No shit.
Tell me which bombs I posted, have mushroom clouds, and are not nuclear devices.
The Fuel Air Bomb, or as you posted, the vacuum bomb, it does not have a mushroom cloud, and the few times you can make one out it looks very vague. Fuel Air Explosives tend to look more like bubbles popping than anything else. To name another, the BLU-82, it does not by any means have a mushroom cloud. I believe a posted a terrific picture of one a while ago, look at that for reference.

It's Failure's mod. He can do whatever he wants. He could make every bomb have a mushroom cloud or no bombs have a mushroom cloud.

That's right he could, he would also be doing something fucking stupid and nobody who wanted realistic explosions would download it. Cranking the old 'mushroom cloud bomb' lever and crapping out a new name and changing lighting isn't making a bomb. However he isn't doing any of that, which is why I have very high hopes for this mod. I was merely providing constructive criticism.
Isn't the point of G-bombs realism Markntosh?
Gorgonoth was providing some constructive criticism by stating that Failure seemed to have a tendency to have a mushroom cloud, which is what it seems like some times, and that only EXTREMELY high heat explosions produce one.
Usually the point of a bomb is to produce a concussive blast wave that breaks stuff apart, not produce high heat.
Those that do produce high heat are; nuclear devices and incendiary weapons.

Which reminds me, maybe you could make a HEAT shell failure. Imagine a road flare the size of a tank shell. Then make it explode. In less joking terms, it's a brightly colored explosion that tends to send out streams of liquid metal on impact. Like confetti, only it kills you, happy fucking birthday.
Also if you need a reference in case of a model for a HEAT, or any tank shell, here's a few:

Looks like it would make a good missile.
Hey, that gives me an idea. Is it possible to code some bombs to have a "missile" derivative? You could place a target (entity) somewhere and the missile would automatically go towards it when a set key on the num-pad is pressed.
Crappy idea, I know, but I felt like keeping this thread alive a bit longer.

Yeah, it's called wire
Yeah, it's called wire
I wish i knew how to use wire properly :( . Oh well, i can always make an unguided missile.

Gbombs is about realism. And yet you are able to request a stupid lightmass bomb :argh:
If GBombs is about realism, then the Daisy Cutter should be about the size of a small family car (like, a lincoln)
It's cool enough as is, and it ain't far off from realistic
Just wondering, how did y'all learn how to script entities and stuff?
I've been looking for tutorials to get me started, but I haven't found anything...
Can't wait to download v3!
(by the way, this is Qwerty2109... I got tired of the name)

You made me laugh epicly fucking hard.
Daisy cutter

And FOAB have mushroom cloud. Or I am blind.

And vacuum bomb relases fuckloads of heat.
And that is termobaric bomb -

Fuel air bombs does not have mushroom clouds.
Vacuum bomb is not typical FAB. It does have mushroom cloud.
That also means that World in Conflict is wrong. There's Daisy cutter have mushroom cloud bigger than nuke.

hehe, a daisy cutter the size of the family car is kinda small.

You're blind, the'vacuum bomb' you made had an insane amount of flame in the cloud iteself. The real bomb's explosion isn't mushroom shaped, if anything it looks like a massive pillar of superheated dust flying straight up. There was no curving due to heated exchange of gasses in that explosion. Take a look at this depth charge going off, then replace the water with smoke and fumes:

Also, vacuum bombs generate around 2500 degrees (C), a thermonuclear bomb generates 300,000 degrees. Do you see why one has a mushroom and the other does not?
You are right, sir.
You are right, sir.
Double post, damn it. Sorry.

You've earned my respect mate, most facepunchers decide to keep arguing no matter what. Here, have your medal of relative high maturity:

Look, the light bomb idea (not lightmas bomb) was just a fun idea I could use for a video or two. It was Failure's idea to put it in there, don't complain to me.
I don't know if you were planning to add any in, but I was also looking for some small wire-able explosives, semtex and C4's and such. Basically, some plastic explosives.
I don't know if you could do this, but it'd be great if we had some tiny model for the plastic explosives, and when you attach two of them together, they would attach. Simulating the 'moldability' and such of the explosives.

Wrong. I spoken to him. He said he was pretty annoyed doing it for you.

Then he didn't have to do it!
