It has something to do with tables.
Anyone know if extracting models from Driver: San Francisco is possible? Hell, even Tanner and Jones ragdolls would be cool, but the cars look so good in that game.
I enjoy the AI nodes alot, making the cars drive themselves but maybe someone can help me. Is there a cmd or way to make the Nodes invisible? I used color to make them transparent but that leaves the Light on top.
It would help with movie making, along with making the AI inside the car who appear as Screens be something smaller? or make the windows Tinted.

Would an options for hiding them work? Hide AI nodes, hide AI driver?

What do you mean? You mean the controls like H for horn?
Well, at least on our RP server, we found that trying to use the chat menu while in the driver's seat activated SCar commands, which becomes cumbersome when trying to communicate with other passengers and call out things on radio.
For example, typing a sentence in chat with g, r, h, or n letters toggled the vehicle flip, radio, horn and ignition respectively as we were typing the sentence while in the vehicle (naturally as these are commonly used letters in the English language it would be immersion breaking to have a tank bouncing up and down while typing statements to people). For passengers the only command usable is the radio toggle so as far as I know that's the only one that messes up there.

I see. I've made it so that the keys/commands are "disabled" while you have the chat window open (current version).
Is your server using some custom chat? That might explain some stuff.
To be honest, I think so. The server itself has to use a Legacy copy of the addon (We have to extract it from the workshop addon and load it onto the box), so if it's a very recent update then it's possibly our copy is simply outdated (Last version was...About 2 weeks ago).

The thing is that if your server is using a custom chat it might override some hooks I use to check if
the chat is open or not. I'm afraid that SCars can't do this check because of the custom chat.
It's possible to fix it but I can't do much about it on my end.
I have a ASUS gaming laptop so no it isn't a bad computer, my scars tab is empty and if i use someones dupe that is a scar it only spawns the wheels and can't drive the vehicle at all! I have all the tools and weapons working, but the cars are gone. PLZ HELP!

I can't seem to get my clients to DL scars when I add it to forcedl. I've converted both slim and basic into addons and they run on the server, however clients do not download any of the SCars stuff. I'm guessing I've entered incorrect paths in the forcedl.lua (case sensitivity might be it) OR I have a bandwidth limit on my fastdl. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried disabling other addons? I'm fairly sure you just got too many addons installed.
There is a limit and once you hit that limit weird shit starts happening and stuff disappears.
I got WAC installed and I don't have any issues at all but I don't have that many addons installed.

theres nothing wrong with the mod, its just you have too many addons, try disabling a few until theres no more conflicting.
Having an issue where the cars spawn only the body and the red ERROR sign. I'm using the development version of GMod (on linux).
So, I have no addons but scars installed but the turning circle seem extremely screwed, as in I'd be lucky to turn do doughnuts on flatgrass screwed.
Any ideas? I remember having this issue last time I looked at the addon.

Yes, however I just fixed it.
Deleted the gma, unsubscribed, resubscribed.
I had tried deleting the gma previously but it must have been cached somewhere locally I guess.

Going to install a blank test server for it now, if you've any idea what can cause all cars to have a screwed turning circle then enlighten me please. I tried slim + basic, but atm just running slim for testing.

I think I know what it might be. You can set certain car characteristic limits (including the steer force).
This is so you can for example have "fair" races so everyone won't put all settings to max.
Changed settings will also be applied to SCars that are already spawned. The car limitations are
always ignored in singleplayer but you will have to disable them manually when playing multiplayer.
You can change the settings here.

I suspect that unchecking the checkbox I marked out for you will solve the issue.
You could also just scroll through the sliders and check if everything is in order.
Max steer force should be on 20 by default.
And after changing the settings don't forget to apply them.
I'll go give this a try now, although why would they be set to such odd values by default?

Tried applying it / unapplying it and couldn't fix the issue at all. Windows local test server.
I was getting the bug when trying it on a local single player game as well until I deleted the GMA and then redownloaded it. However the server still has the issue, I've tried loading it both unpacked and loading it as a packed gma via a workshop collection.
