There were animations before in GMod 12 but then Garry changed some stuff in GMod 13 so I couldn't do the animations the same way as before.
The animations broke so I just disabled them, haven't added support for new ones.
I have a error here: i cannot use the abrahams tank in the scars extra or any other addons using it e.g. halo tank scorpian it seems to be conflicting with falcos prop protection but i need that for my server.. could you help

I've made a patch that should fix this issue.
Unfortunately I am currently unable to update SCars Slim.
The workshop update tool just doesn't work for some reason.
Try with gmad and gmpublish. You'll be able to make a batch script that makes the full update, which saves time.

I am using gmad and gmpublish. It says that the upload was a success but no changes are made.
I'm not alone with this issue.
My SCars worked absolutely fine, but yesterday the wheels started noclipping through ground at rougly 100km/h. The powered wheels also start unrealistically turning around and noclip quite soon when I hold both W and S, or when I'm stucked and trying to ride up a hill. Tried reinstalling SCars, no help. I have only slim and extra installed. Can post some screenshots if you want/don't understand my problem, I'm writing through Steam browser currently so I can't now.
The last addons I've installed were ACF, Wire extras, physgun buildmode, Precision Alignment and Axiscentre. But I've uninstalled them all except the Precision Alignment, after one gameplay. Please help, we can't ride cars at all on my server :(
Hey can you make sure all of the folders are lower case. Some people who have linux might have issues with this. I know it was working one day on my server, and then the next scars would not load. I had to open every .gma file and manually upload it to my server. It is no big deal for me, but I have a feeling someone else might find this a major issue. Personally I would prefer a svn where I could just do a checkout and keep it up to date, but workshop works too.
I'm on Windows. I also use Linux but currently I'm not on it, so let's talk about Windows where the upper/lowercase doesn't matter at all. And anyways I see no folders, I use the Workshop version as I can't find any SVN source for it. I'm hosting listen if it helps
What I am referring to is Linux servers. If the folder name is uppercase in Linux, it will not load the add on. It should still load on windows if it is lower case, I am just trying to get that fixed for Linux. It would become a burden to have to keep extracting the files from the .gma file every update just to make sure its lowercase. Workshop should just automatically make everything lowercase imo. Especially seeing as how steam is trying to become more Linux friendly anyways.

Damn, didn't even realize that there might be a problem with addons when going to Linux. Porting all the addons would be surely a huge pain. I was planning to get Linux only for a computer I'll have this summer, on which I also want to host GMod dedicated, but looks like it won't be so easilly possible...
Whenever I export a car, the text files have no formatting, making it a total eyesore to edit. Is it a problem with SCars or GMod?

I'm guessing you got some addon that modifies the physics. It can cause issues like that.

There shouldn't be any upper case in Slim but there might be in Extra or Basic.
Still wonder why it stopped working for you so suddenly.

Try to open the file in another text editor. Example: The code might have no formatting when you open it in notepad (no linebreaks) but if you open it in notepad++ it will be nicely formatted.
Sakarias, can you please help me with this? when i spawn my scars, i dont have the spawn effect as everyone else. i have almost no addons at all, about 3-4 pages only. but the weird thing is that my brother with about 50 pages of addons, can still spawn them and they work perfectly. but neither of us have the shift gear animations. please reply and help me :) Ps. im swedish so if you want just talk swedish in the reply ;3. You mean the wireframe + those particles around it? I think it depends on your graphical settings, thus computer. I can't see any spawn animations on 1.6GHz dual core and integrated crap, but I can on 2.2GHz single core and HD4650. Maybe try to set your shaders to higher, or texture detail to high

didn't work, my brother has all the settings on lowest so it should work for me too, considering i have a way better pc than him. :/

If the effect is used or not is determined by the DirectX level your graphics hardware supports.
It's determined by both your hardware and your graphics settings.
Your DirectX level has to be above 9. There is a possibility that you got old hardware or low settings which means that you won't see the effect. Downloading the latest drivers and directX version might help.

sakarias told me you needed directx 9 installed, so im gonna try that now with the best graphics settings

It's not the particles. It's the clip plane (the one that makes a transition between wireframe material and the car).
And no, you shouldn't need any fancy graphics card for the effect to work.
My last graphics card could handle it and it's about 4 years old now.
Sakarias, your work is exceptional. I have a really serious glitch though.
In DarkRP, with the maps "Rp_Downtown_v4c_v3" and the famous "rp_downtown_v2_fiend_v2b", if I enter in a scar/bike and stop very close to a building, when I get out the car I'm in the building.
I can basically noclip into any building, ruining the purpose of building bases in DarkRP as you may know.

thats a really common bug that you can do with any vehicle/seat by physgunning it up against a wall close enough

Weird. Thought I fixed that problem when I solved the problem where you sometimes could get stuck in walls after exiting.
I had a look at the problem and you can pass through thin objects.
I managed to fix the issue but I've been unable to update SCars for a while (refuses to upload properly) so I can't tell when I will be able to upload the fix.

Yes. It should contain those changes.
Most Scars problems with DarkRP should be solved when Sakarias is able to update the workshop.
I don't know if he added his vehicles to list.Get("Vehicles"), but if he did, you can add scars to DarkRP like any other vehicle.
