Most Scars problems with DarkRP should be solved when Sakarias is able to update the workshop. I don't know if he added his vehicles to list.Get("Vehicles"), but if he did, you can add scars to DarkRP like any other vehicle.
Don't remember fixing something like that.
Go through walls glitch.
Should now be fixed, feel free to try it out.
Don't remember fixing something like that. Should now be fixed, feel free to try it out.
Please do add it, it makes your scar vehicles, you know, vehicles. Your cars being vehicles make them spawnable as such in DarkRP.
hi, the new scars slim update broke proke FPP prop protection, could you pls fix this, as this has broken antispam, error: FOUND IN ADDON [104483020] [SCars Slim] lua/entities/sent_sakarias_scar_base/shared.lua:23: attempt to inde x local 'self' (a nil value) 1. My bad. Fixed in latest FPP.
My bad. Fixed in latest FPP.
thanks, BTW.. should i use the workshop FPP from now on or continue using the SVN?
Should now be fixed, feel free to try it out.
Awesome, it's fixed. Thank you. I see now the SCars as ownable but I can't manage to lock them with keys (in DarkRP). Can anyone confirm this?
Awesome, it's fixed. Thank you. I see now the SCars as ownable but I can't manage to lock them with keys (in DarkRP). Can anyone confirm this?
i didnt realise many darkrp servers had SCars, what do you use to manage them? (so people can buy them) or do you just let people spawn them?

You can now make SCars purchasable in DarkRP. Example: [lua] timer.Simple(0, function() AddCustomVehicle('DeLorean', 'models/delorean_prop.mdl', 200, nil, function(ply) return ply:Nick() == 'Marty McFly' end) end) [/lua] Note: the timer is mandatory because SCars load after DarkRP
I have an Idea. Would it be possible to select certain ragdoll and make them appear to be driving the vehicle as an acting AI instead of the computer screen? If not oh well Im just throwing out an Idea I figure would be funny to see.
Im getting a strange problem, I am only able to use the 3 junk cars that are in the pack, I have Basic, Slim, and Extra installed on both the client and server I believe. EDIT: It seems to have randomly starting working again for whatever reason. I hadn't changed anything at all.
Are all of these car models (http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1184807) ever going to work with SCars 2.0? Or is there any way you can import more car models into SCars yourself? For your own use of course. // Edit: You know with what you would make everyone here very happy? If you release an SCar 2.0 Mega Pack Including: - SCars Slim - SCars Basic - SCars Extra - SCars Vice City Vehicles - TDMcars - SicknessModel Drivable Vehicle Pacl - MasterChris's Vehicle Pack One SCar 2.0 pack with every awesome vehicle there is at the moment. But all SCar compatible so you can drive actually well. That would make everyone sooo happy I bet.

At least most of them are on Workshop you know.
Well, he doesn't really do the model stuff. Also, one could simply make such a collection. At least most of them are on Workshop you know.
I don't know much about making collections or workshop files, but I figure you can't just release someone else's stuff right? Also will they drive like SCars or do they have crappy TDMcars handling? Is there any tutorial on how to add extra models so they work in SCars?
Is there something you need to watch out for when making a prop protection so it doesn't screw with the SCars handling? My cars turning is unbelievable horrid.
Hello everyone (again)! After reading a bit about the materials in the Source, I decided to see what can be done with the '05 Ford Mustang GT from SCars. So, here is the result of my work: -The car can be painted in any color using one of three types of paint - glossy, matte or metallic. -Wheels also can be colored. -Some small changes in the textures to improve look of the car. -SCPD State Trooper skin as an addition. In my opinion, the car now looks quite at the level of TDM's vehicles. Awesome job! I always wanted SCars to look like the TDM ones, the second thing is physics and stability of driving which is worse in SCars. I hate the cockpits of some cars, would be nice if they got improved a little bit

I like TDM Cars more because of how high definition everything is, and the skin customization (you can use skin templates and edit them in photoshop, then use them in-game) and pretty much everything else except the handling is crap sometimes, either you drive and turn hard and then it skids and turns out of control and drifting is a big weakness with TDM Cars overall anyway. SCars is quite good, but the interior and cockpits are terrible, no offense but they're terribly low quality, and even the steering wheels unrealistically stay static pretty much the whole time however I like the handling, but it's not easy to drift either and the handling tends to be a little tight at 100MPH or so. That's my opinion, following from Hyperion but yeah. SCars has been one of my idols alongside TDM Cars since 2011 or so :)

There isn't really anything holding SCars back from using nice models or textures. Me and TDM had a little project together a while ago. I added some features for SCars that he needed and he released an addon with some cars I wanted. The result was TDM SCars. It's on the workshop if you want to try it out.
I don't know if I am late or not, but there's problems with Ford Mustang GT and Ferrari F50 where the car model is too big and wheels are off place. Also, does this require a modeling program to remove wheels from models I need to use? And what is the font in the first post's picture?

Maybe I'm missing something. Could you explain in more detail. The car model itself should not include any wheels (should be treated as 2 separate models) and if you got a model with wheels already on you will need an editor to remove the wheels. The wheels should be a separate model so it's easy to swap the wheel model. I don't remember the font name in the FP and I don't have it on my computer any more.
Looking good! Would love to see that on the workshop.
Here are the files i've changed, you can include them in your next update.
Please have a look at one of my previous posts. It would be awesome if you could get that working without errors - just drive one of the TDMScars with the new function.
Eek I hope I'm not bumping this too much.. (This is the only SCARS thread I've seen soo...) While I was looking around in GMOD for good wheel props to use for a prop car I was building, I came across "models/props_c17/pulleywheels_small01.mdl". By the looks of it, this winch wheel thing is JUST the right size to be the wheel rim, at least for the junker cars. My idea is, that if you run on a flat tire for too long, it will eventually rip apart leaving only the rim left (The winch wheel). After you start riding on the winch wheel, sparks would come off of it when moving. Obviously it would have little to no grip. Eventually, the rip would just sort of explode/fall off and all you'd be left with is the axle.
is there any possible way to change the angle of the model in the scar editor??
