You just don't get it, do you?
Sure I got, Sorry for adding a Car Suggestion. Thanks anyway :-)
I'd like to request something. It is neither a car, nor a feature, but I use Linux. Linux is case sensitive and doesn't accept whitespaces. Windows doesn't care about this. So I am asking if you could change the capital letters to small ones and use _ instead of whitespaces to prevent linuxusers from having to edit the filenames. I think I remember that there were no whitespaces and only a few folders with capital letters, but paying a little attention to us would be much appreciated. Even though this pack is worth the work to get it working. I use the SVN-version, since I do not trust the workshop. Edited because of grammar.

I just searched through the SVN and no files seem to have any whitespace in their name. I only found some in the templates folder and the blank file named "DO NOT UPLOAD SVN CONTENT TO ANYWHERE"
However, I can only guarantee functionality on Windows.
I think I remember the TDMCars subfolder in sounds folder having capitals. Also the skin template folder. It is actually both. Capitals and whitespaces will require editing to get it working. I do understand that you can just guarantee it working on windows, but if you could have an eye on this, you would save linuxusers from most issues or at least would save us from having to check every file. As said, I don't think I am the only one, who'd appreciate this very much. Everything except those filename issues is dependend to GMod, as far as I know, so nothing to do here. Case sensitivity might have its advantages, but kinda sucks here. But good to know that I remembered it right, that there were no whitespaces. All in all great work. I really enjoy this pack. Can't wait for the next update. I'd die if you stopped scripting cars. :v:
When will you finish VCMod??
When will you finish VCMod??
He doesnt make VCMod, omagad people. This is TDMCARS SVN THREAD, NOT VCMOD THREAD.
is there even a VCmod thread
Not on Facepunch, you'll have to go to vcmod.net if you want updates directly from freemmaann.
Probably the 1000th time you've all heard this, but I'm getting some bad errors with the TDMCars SVN:
MDLCache: TDMCars\carnamehere.mdl needs to be recompiled
Vehicle () unable to properly initialize due to script error in (data/testshit/carnamehere.txt)!
This makes the cars completely uninteractable -- you can also walk through the cars (some cars just float). I have the base installed, yet I'm not sure why it still doesn't work.
[editline]27th July 2013[/editline]
vehicle scripts are also in garrysmod/scripts
I found some car pictures from my old TDM Svn folder and I thought it would be nice to upload them

MDLCache can be ignored, it just gives you an error and that's about it. The scripts are missing which is why they are nocolliding and floating midair. scripts have to be in garrysmod/scripts/vehicles/tdmcars to work.
When you say base, do you mean the workshop base pack? That's not needed for the SVN

strange, data/testshit/carnamehere.txt is a nonexistant directory

got it to work, file.Read() is dumb
Where can I download the range rover separately? I only want that car for my server, for gangs to sit in, but I can't find it on its own on the workshop
Right click the folder where you have the SVN installed and select SVN Update. Then it will download the updates if any have been released. I don't know if you can get it to update automatically
Um....that option does not show up.
When I right click, I get these options:
SVN Checkout
TortoiseSVN (Which goes to another option list:)
Repo-browser, Export, Create Repository Here, and Import.

Why only the Range Rover all the cars are awesome and currently being redone.

Then do SVN Checkout and enter the SVN link
In all my years of Garry's Mod, from one account to another, I have enjoyed this mod. There is a common misconception, though; "TDM Cars always lags servers D8!" This isn't true. Like any excessive mod/addon/plugin/addition to a gamemode or server, lag is bound to happen with more content installed or being applied to allocate use for players.
Though some cars (such as the Shelby, Dodge RAM SRT/8, and other sporty cars) have drastically horrifying handling and will cause a pain to those who enjoy the car's for their own, the addon makes up for it with constant updates, new additions, and quick troubleshooting for those who don't know how to do things like download an SVN repository.
Though I am still deteriorating here waiting for VCMOD, I still have lots of fun comparing TDMCars to the sort-of-laughable SCars.
hello I would like to ask you how to enter the same vehicle as another player.
The vehicle is not owned by anyone.

How difficult is it to no collide and weld a chair?
Ok, I did a Very Simple LUA Script to PreCache all the Vehicles not Only the TDM Cars.
And is loading only the Server-Side.
Nexus PreLoader/autorun/sv_preloader.lua
hook.Add( "Initialize", "NexusPreCacher", function ()
local vehicles = list.Get("Vehicles")
print("\r\nNexus PreCacher: Precaching Vehicles...\r\n")
for name, ent in pairs(vehicles) do
print("PreCaching Model: "..name.." ...")
util.PrecacheModel(ent.Model)
end
print("\r\nNexus PreCacher: Done\r\n")
end)
With this in your SRCDS Server all TDM Cars (And ETC) will Load MUCH Faster Without Freezing Every player, do not need PreLoad Client.
I didn't done this before, because I was thinking LUA can not have "Such Power", But Danish told about the util.PrecacheModel, so with this script on your server TDM Cars will not freeze! to spawn any vehicles.
I Hope you guys Enjoy.

There is Passenger Mod on Workshop but i didn't liked too much.
I'm likely doing something stupid, but I can't seem to get this working. I keep getting these two errors when trying to checkout.

Here is some friendly advice, please read the OP before you post. It clearly says he does not accept requests for cars on this thread. There are only a few specific situations where requesting is ok. On a facebook poll, winning a race in his server (where the prize is that you get to request a car), or by paying him.
am i the only one who cant get to page 28
lol, nice try. You just unlocked Page 28 XD
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
