Nope, Scottd has been busy, I am trying to learn derma so I can attempt to fix the main menu, and I haven't heard from kila.
I might suggest that the TF2 minigun loop be replaced with the HL2 Heligun loop for compatibility reasons
Good news, It's small but I managed to get something done today.
P.s. these updates are on my fork for testing, I'll push them by the end of tonight (2 ish hours from this post)

Also added clicking or pressing a button to respawn in the above commit.
I'll continue to work on stuff for a little bit today but the derma is my only big problem right now.
EDIT:
I'm done for today and I've started working on a bare bones spawn editor, but I didn't get far enough to show you anything. I'll keep you guys updated.
I told you guys I would keep you up to date and I've gotten the spawn editor about half way done!

Now I just need to add the server side so the spawns save.
Dogfight on Harbor2Ocean is gunna be gud.
No promises, but I should have the spawning system done by the end of tomorrow. I've gotten all the bugs worked out on the visualization. All I need to do is figure out if I'm writing spawns to a file or the SQL, then test it on different maps.

If you guys have any suggestions for changes in colors, text size, look or function, I'm open for ideas.
What's interesting is that such a system would be greatly benefictial to Clan Wars. You could setup spawnpoint, and make quick swap hud-icons for different clans and teams.
Great system none-the-less man! Keep up the good work!
I've done a lot for the spawning system and it is just about ready for release.
I just have to get spawn points to spawn players at an angle and I'll be satisfied. It should be done by tomorrow.
If you want to see my progress (reverse order starting today):

UPDATE: I'm going to release this version on the main git hub. I've not fixed the spawn setting the player's angle, but I feel it works well enough right now that it would be helpful. This week I'll fix the angle problem by modifying the spawn entities.
Update can be downloaded from kila's github.
https://github.com/kila58/DogFight/
How to use: *this info is also in the github how to set up a server document*
-Press F1 go to settings/options and enable spawn editor (or type "df_editspawns 1" in console)
-Crash or type kill in console (and respawn as usual by clicking or pressing any key)
-You will spawn over one of the current spawn points
-Press E while looking at a current spawn to modify it's properties. The spawn point will ONLY be updated if you click the "Update Point" button.
-To spawn a new spawn point type "df_newspawn" in console. A menu will pop-up with editable information.
*NOTE: spawning a spawn point without a team name will cause a message to show in chat and the point will not be spawned. You cannot create a spawn point while the game is paused (in console while in singleplayer). Despite the spawn having an angle, it currently does not work.*
-On the first edit of the map all spawns will be called "Fallback Spawn". You MUST update the points to IDC/GBU/FFA for the spawns to save. If the map does not have at least one of each you may not spawn properly and will be set to a fallback spawn at 0,0,2000 OR 0,0,1500
-Each map has it's own spawns. Spawns are never overwritten by a spawn on a different map or a new one created, instead the old spawns are updated.
If you find any issues please post them here: https://github.com/kila58/DogFight/issues
Requests such as improvements or miscellaneous features are also appreciated.
This update was tested by only me, I've tried my best to check for errors or possibilities of abuse, I am not perfect and some may have slipped through. It was tested in both singleplayer and local multiplayer. I have not tested it with multiple people, although it has support for multiple editors at once, the props should only be cleared after all users have disconnected or left the editing mode (df_editspawns 0).
EDIT: Oops forgot to show you how it looks.

Can't believe this game mode keeps getting resurrected every now and then. Really nice to see the community keeping it functional after all these years :')
I'll make it clear again that I really don't mind people using the code/doing whatever with it. It's not something I am ever going to have time to go back to.

I added you on steam a few weeks ago to ask you some questions :v: but I'm glad to see you are being nice about letting us update and keep this gamemode alive. I've never personally played it before I started to work on it but even just flying around in the airboats is fun.

Hell yes, and this gamemode looks fun as hell. it was actually the first multiplayer server I joined upon first getting Gmod.
