Either what Jake said or some cylinders that match the elongated domes perhaps.
Don't they already match? What do you mean?
Don't they already match? What do you mean?
Not really. Some of the cylinders and dome tops need to be tied off with a tapered cylinder bit.
Still not sure what you mean. I just tested all of them, they all line up fine.

Weird... Might just be my spawnlist fucking up.
I think some props to be used by more advanced builders with access to e2/lua would be nice.
Like a spring prop/shock absorber with bones on either end to have it stretch and compress smoothly.
But I'm wondering of the possibilities of using bones to make props that can be reconfigured etc. Such as having a fan belt that has bones to re position sprockets, or maybe some shit like NFS autosculpt rims and spoilers? The possibilities seem endless if it is.
So, one year of SProps already.
Anything else you guys would like to see added?
Larger sized tubes perhaps?

I'd love to see different kinds of air filters actually. Maybe turbo and supercharger props as well in different sizes.
I haven't read much of the forum but has anyone ever mentioned one size smaller things? Such as the disks, spheres, thin plates ( a small block pretty much), etc? I'm not sure if its possible or anything but just a suggestion. Great pack, really nice.
Sorry to bump the thread, but where do I put the spawnicons folder? Do I just drop it in Garrysmod/GarrysMod or...?
Don't they already match? What do you mean?
Sorry, allow me to clarify. Currently the only cylinders are all circular. I'm proposing eccentric/ elliptical cylinders that match the profile of the elongated domes.

Place the spawnicons folder in GarrysMod/garrysmod/materials/.
I would suggest different sizes of oval peices for certain things I build I need flat props like those. Something like this.
[T]http://www.thedaycarelady.com/images/oval2.gif[/T]
Bad picture I know, at work atm so I have limited picture looking up capabilities. Don't ask how I get on FP I just do.
I think that oval cylinders, and half ovals (like ship sails) would be a nice prop to have. Could be a great benefit for making boats, tank sides, and occasionally the old fashion commander cupola(even machine gun ports!).
If you could add these it would be greatly appreciated Unrezt.
Does anyone know, why i cant select the bodygroup of anything?
c-rightclick = no bodygroup tab.
I loaded the easy bodygroup tool, but it cant find any bodygroups.
i tried that on the ugly wheels at transportation tab. It worked few weeks ago for 10 minutes, then the menu disappeared
Use the workshop version instead: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=173482196
If I changed the URL, will I have to update Sprops again or are the updates mirrored?
If I changed the URL, will I have to update Sprops again or are the updates mirrored?
I am not sure. You might be able to get away with switching the url and not having to redownload it, just svn cleanup afterward if that does happen to work.
I will update both for the time being, though.
A lot of you will probably hate me for this, but sprops will also be using github from now on. For me, google has been annoyingly slow to
upload and download for the last few months, and this also cut the download size in half (shitloads of svn history from when I recompiled every model with new uvw mapping).
Post editing seems to be broken, so I will put the links here for now:
Github: https://github.com/shadowscion/sprops
Git Download: https://github.com/shadowscion/sprops.git
Svn Download: https://github.com/shadowscion/sprops/trunk
Ideally I would like everyone to switch to the new url, but I know that wont happen, :s
For some reason, TortoiseSVN hates GitHub. Am I doing something wrong, or should I use something else to download it?
According to your guide I used this guide
http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=688324
for svn download and he says that u need to make and addons folder not in gmod folder and only when u download the addon to there only then export it to the gmod addon folder and he said u need to do so because sv totrtoise download more files that arn't necessary and if you downloaded it directly to your gmod addon folder it will make the loading time longer ..
so as he said I did like he suggested and downloaded the addon to external folder and only then exported all files to gmod addons folder .. but lets say I want to update the addon I cant right click the folder and update because it was exported so I need to update the external addon folder and then export again to gmod addons folder ?
(hope I made myself clear)

I am also having problems when using the new Git link. TortoiseSVN always downloads about a quarter of the entire model pack before returning with a "truncated" error.
You guys deleted the old folder and made a completely new one, right? I just downloaded it with tsvn using the third link, everything worked fine for me. Does acf or wiremod do this for you guys too?
I would recommend you install git and use that instead, though.
I wish we could instead just make props like this on the fly instead of a spawn menu like in second life or in a map editor or something
makes me wish I was still interested in GMod, too, knowing we have a surplus of things like this model pack

That's not exactly difficult to make. Why not do it yourself?
I tried my luck again and this is what keeps happening:

I have SProps installed on a dedicated server, ( the Git version ) but it errors whenever a player joins the game.
I've checked the Lua file, but I don't believe there's much I can do to fix it,
[ERROR] addons/sprops/lua/autorun/client/sprops_lua.lua:3: bad argument #1 to 'Left' (string expected, got nil)

Ok I'm a noob, I just got back into Gmod not even a week ago (i last actively played like 2-3 years ago), where do I put the spawnicons folder?

You take the "settings" folder and just drop it in your main GMod directory.

Full model path for spawnicons should look like this: /garrysmod/garrysmod/materials/spawnicons/models/sprops/
If the workshop ever gets fixed (uploading addons >5mb is broken it would seem), I've decided to put sprops on it. It compresses to only a 25mb download, and I can include the spawnicons and automatic spawnlists (no more fucking around with those).
I wonder what exactly is causing those issues, I had similar experiences previously when I was trying to upload my map to Workshop. The only thing I could do was to keep trying to upload until it went through, and even then multiple people say that it's not working.
I managed to get it uploaded by switching to the steam client beta.

If you make the switch from svn/git to the workshop version ( do it, there is no reason not to ), you will have to delete the sprops spawnlist .txt files from settings/spawnlist one last time. Still can't edit the OP of my thread?
Just tried the workshop version.
However it just gives an error when I open the spawnitem menu, and the spawnlist area is completely empty.
Error it gives is:
Couldn't include file 'sprops\spawnlist\900-sprops.lua' (File not found) (@lua/autorun/client/sprops_init.lua (line 10))
TEST [lua/autorun/client/cl_advdupe.lua][lua/autorun/client/sprops_init.lua]

3. Function - gamemodes/sandbox/gamemode/spawnmenu/creationmenu/content/content.lua:80
4. unknown - gamemodes/sandbox/gamemode/spawnmenu/creationmenu.lua:42
Edit.
It causes the above error in single player, however it works fine when playing on a dedicated server that has the workshop version installed.
