I also don't have a map yet so until I can get one I can't really do a beta but I have 2 guys I know of that could help with that. Also should I add all the sounds in right now or wait till a later release to add in the sound files? I found a thing that gives you ALL of the sounds in splatoon from the walking on different surfaces to the wacky jump sounds. Thing is all of the sound files together are 405 MB. :wavey: Rate this comment as agree if I should or disagree if I should wait.

Maybe they are too high quality? I know GMod doesn't play sound files that are over a certain limit.

If they're all .wav sounds, then yeah, I can see them being around that size. If things like sound length functions are unimportant to you, you could convert them all to .ogg. Regarding playermodels, I'm gonna be working on an update for the Inklings and potentially the Octoling playermodels to add support for eye colors and skin tones by abusing submaterials.

If it push the release then i disagree,even if i like the footstep sound of splatoon. Atleast put the more important first. :p

Also compress them to mp3.

The reason I was worrying was because I know how it is to be on bad internet, I like just got good internet this year. It used to take me like 1 hour to download 400 MB, so I understand how others will feel. What I probably would have done is set it up where it would use default gmod sounds for majority of the sounds, and if you download a custom workshop thing it would change all the sounds over so it cuts down player join times.

Can you now compress it to .bzip for FastDL? Or if your using workshop it already compresses it itself. If your talking 108MB with bzip compression change all the .wav to .mp3 or preferably .ogg
I thought I give an update since i haven't gave one since like October. I got caught up with coding projects in my college so I put this on hold for a sec but I am back to working on this. I have recently changed the way I was doing the shop system to include a lobby like system that will work on mysql usage and what not. I am gonna leave both ways in to where you can still buy at the end of a round if you can not have another server up to host the lobby system. I also included more pictures to make the shop look closer to how it looks in splatoon. Now to get a horizontal scroll bar because that just doesn't seem to be a quick and easy option under the layout future. :| Crishnate informed me he has finished making a new ink system also in that time frame. I love how similar to the actual game. Amazing Job! I am looking forward to play this gamemode on GMOD as soon as it comes out!

I'm assuming this is dead... Which sucks as this was probably my most wanted gamemode for Gmod.
