Is it possible to make the stacker's copying working a bit more like duplicator i.e. be capable of stacking SEnts? Just tried to stack a bunch of oilmod petrol barrels, GMod dynamites, TNTs and solar panels all to no avail, so I'm guessing it doesn't like SENTs. :'(
I don't see why not. As I stated above in the update I haven't done much GMOD programming, but this might be a good chance to learn a little bit. I'll examine some other stools and see what I can come up with.
tad's probably sitting there going, "Yeah, that's a peice of piss !!"
I hate you tad :P, in a good way of course !!
I've recoded quite a lot of it. I added an option to grab anything with the right click and stack it. I re did the control panel to derma, so the values set to some convar have changed (ie. "Right" instead of "5"), I renamed the stool to Stacker2 to prevent conflicts.

Let us know when you're done :D
And I recommend you to make your own thread :)

Can it now duplicate values such as weight, health etc?
I'm having a problem. Even though my advanced options are all at '0' The props I stack are all slightly off and don't stack in straight lines.
I've uninstalled 3 times and it works for a while and then goes back after I touch the advanced options.
I also can't seem to get the props to stack like in the pictures, I try to curve them and it just makes a straight line with every new prop turned more than the first, (I've tried using the box at the bottom checked and un-checked it does nothing for me)
Sorry for the wall of text, I would just like this solved. Thanks.
Are you setting it to 'world' or 'prop'?
Are you setting it to 'world' or 'prop'?
AGREE: If it's set to world then it won't stack according to the prop, hence it won't change direction. It will only twist.
This script is pretty robust. I've only ever used the version I downloaded when I first found it and it's never stopped working.
Idea: How about adding a "% of prop width" option to the offsets (a little like what's been done with the Easy Precision STool)?
Taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad????
PS bump.

Meh, ok I'll try to finish this week.
Taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad????
PS Nearly done? Hmmm maybe valve time?
It's looking more like Valve time or possibly Jinto time.
I have a suggestion.
Could you possibly make an update where:
You can make 2 props, say 2 doors. Then you go to the stacker stool, and have the stool know the are connected. Then, the is an option where you can make the child (2nd prop) rotate in a certain amount of degrees and click on one prop and it makes a twist in between the two props according to the twist the child made.
That would be the best.
How about Vehicle stacker, like if I want to do a bus, or a plane, And I Don't want to place one by one, because it's a suffering.
Or for a race, if you want to make the cars perfecly alligned
I have made a edited version of this stacker,
I have added a checkbox for if you want to copy the same skin,
I have added a checkbox for if you want to copy the same material,
The ghost also shows the correct skin and material,
Weld strength slider,
Stack relative to player option ( not 100% functional).
And it includes the changes BODYPRINT made.
i can upload it if you like.
Yeah that would be nice if you would but i huess i really have no say in it. D:
I think that OverloadUT is not on facepunch anymore so think ill just upload it.

Ok here it is :

Nicely done, thanks :)
Edit:
Only thing I might add would be a "stack with Weight" option. Could be useful if you need lots of props stacking with a non-standard weight.

Sure gime a minute.
Edit:
Somehow when you try to stack with the stack wieght option you can't undo the stacked prop and it won't weld or nocollide,
I hope i can fix this.
Someone just needs to add SENT stacking and I think we'd be set. That would come in handy for some LS stuff.

Agreed. I've tried several times to modify the Stacker STOOL to be compatible with SENTs but I suck at Lua. :v: Perhaps someone could take it into their own hands, for the greater good?
/threadnecro.
I can try but not today,
I will look into this tomorrow.
