Really awesome job, I love using this to build walls.
This is great for fort-wars! Good job, awesome don't stop make more STOOL :D
Good job :) You're awesome :D You shall never stop making STOOL's :D
Very nice STool! Very handy for stares and so on! Sad that not alots of servers have the STool supported. :(
Nice thing, but an option to stack the target and everything welded to it would be useful sometimes (for example when creating a missile battery). Additionally an option to turn off the check if something is already in the place where the new object would be nice. I added it myself (so i could stack barrels in tubes), but having it as a regular feature would be better. Or fix the current code so it doesn't think someone is in the way if there's a hole. Currently you cannot do something like this: spawn a tube (from phx pack), stack it and then put a barrel in it and try to stack it.

It will now only deny placement if there is an object in exactly the same place as the new object is trying to go. The feature was added because if you click to stack a prop on top of the same prop a couple times, two objects get created exactly on top of each other which causes lag city in a server, so I was tyring to prevent that. My first try was a little too strict, but this new implementation should never stop you from building normally, just prevent you from creating more than 1 stack on the exact same spot.
Would be nice if there was something that pointed where a prop was going to be stacked. Maybe like a ghost feature. I pretty much dislike how you cannot stack anything if the prop is going to go through, say a map, or another prop. Although it is useful, it is at the same time quite annoying.
This looks great, and for my first post in quite a while, I'll give you lua king! Anyway, is there an ETA of your next release, or is this a "when it's done" kind of thing?

As for a release, Christmas has caused me to spend all my time killing zombies in a mall. After the holidays (Tuesday) I'll finish my update and release. :)
is it posibel to make this admin only? people spamms it. :S
You could use Admin Mod along with my STool Restriction plugin (which will be updated/released in a day or two)
Awesome! thanks. :keke:
This is an excellent replacement for ECS. A Lua King for you.
Hurrah, it's done! This is a very exciting update that allows you to do some really awesome new stacks. See the screenshot for what I mean. :) [release]Version 2.0 Released See first post for download link Changelist v2.0 + Added a checkbox to adjust rotation of the stacked props on each spawn. This allows you to things like arcs and spirals. + Added a ghost preview of the first item in a stack. You can even adjust the values and watch the ghost update instantly. = Changed the X,Y,Z offsets to be relative to the prop being stacked. This has a big effect on how these offset values change the stack, but it's a good change that gives you a lot more power. Ok I tried your new update and now ... nothing is workin :/ I can fire the stool but no new spawned props and no errors :/
Ok I tried your new update and now ... nothing is workin :/ I can fire the stool but no new spawned props and no errors :/
Strange... Have you tried freezing a prop in the air first to make sure it's not a problem with which direction it's trying to stack? Double check that the settings are all good. Try resetting everything to normal: 0 on all advanced options, stack number at 1, and stack "up".

I think you have to deinstall the old one first. Edit: Nope, it won't work, nothing happens. Please fix this, this stool is to awesome to be broke.
Yeah, I'm getting the same thing. I miss my stacker :( Please fix soon?
Suggestions: -Multiple select feature. Stacks take longer if you can only stack one at a time, by one click. -Stack mouse button hold. Stack by just holding the mouse button. No need for single clicks.

As for the problem: Are you guys getting the ghost preview when you point at a prop? I am really trying to fix the issue, but the main problem is that it works perfectly for me. I even deleted my copy and installed it from the download. Are you guys running PropDefender? Is this in single player or multiplayer?
I tried it on single player, and it didn't work, and I get the ghost preview but when i aim away from the prop again the ghost preview don't go away.
Yeah it's actually supposed to do that. It's so that you can hold C and adjust the parameters and see the ghost update instantly. Otherwise the ghost would go away when you move your mouse to the right. Okay I figured out the problem is that it doesn't work in single player. I will try to fix this ASAP. In the mean time, just host a LAN server. :) I always forget to test my stuff in single player...
I'm not sure what you mean. Did you know that there is a "Count" option that lets you stack as many as you want automatically?
No. Say, you have a row of fours boxes on the ground. It can be a very useful feature if you can select all of them, and stack them up in one click. Instead of clicking each box, one by one.
But.... wouldn't you have to click all of them to "select" them, resulting in one more click than it takes in the current implementation?
But.... wouldn't you have to click all of them to "select" them, resulting in one more click than it takes in the current implementation?
don't bother, I don't think he though it through completely. Aim your attention to fix the stool, Please. Because many of us want this fast and hard (eehm...) And we don't want to make a server every time we want to use it. Well, I make lots of saves and I can't do that on a server.
I was thinking of how ECS worked in GM9. Select several, 4 clicks, and you get 4 stacks of the prop. If it's too much trouble you can just forget what I said. >.>
I was thinking of how ECS worked in GM9. Select several, 4 clicks, and you get 4 stacks of the prop. If it's too much trouble you can just forget what I said. >.>
Well right now, you set the "Count" slider to 4, and then click the props you want to stack up. Same number of clicks, same result. :) I will be making an "Advanced Stacker" that will allow you to make more complex things quicker. Basically, you'll be able to set the stack count for each direction individually and have it fill it in. So you could make a 3x3x3 cube in one click. :)

nice work edit: :( dount work
nice work edit: :( dount work
Read the pots above you! He's trying to fix it, but it will probably take a while because it works for him, and make a lan server if you want it to work.
