does this not work with the new patch because well... it ain,t working

after i got the latest version of this it doesn't work
I had the same problem with it not working untill I put the lua\weapons\gmod_tool\stools\ol_stacker.lua file into garrysmod\lua\weapons\gmod_tool\stools which overwrite the file that was already there.
Simply extracting to addons isn't enough.
OverloadUT, you need to add to the Zip lua\weapons\gmod_tool\stools\ol_stacker.lua so it also puts the file into the lua folder in garrysmod.
Actually, I have to disagree.
I removed 2.1 from my garrysmod directory. I had it installed into gamemodes/sandbox/entities/weapons/gmod_tool/stools. I had to remove that, and whatever else i put it into. Put it into my Addons, and works perfectally.
Thank you OverlordUT for fixing this problem, I can finally build in gmod10 easly again. (Screw you ECS)
This stool is actually one of my most used tool. Once we discovered it, we just can't imagine how where we doing without it ? =D
Yesterday, when it didn't work because of the update, I was here like "Wait, how will I do my thing ?". This diserve a little "Lua King" for you. Thanks for your tool. :]
What was the bug OverloadUT?
Is the util.InWorld function not working?
Thank you so much for fixing this for the latest version! I discovered it while it was broken and now I finally get to use it. Thank you, thank you.
I didn't quite realize just how often I use this STOOL until I didn't have it.

Yeah, it seems to always return false now. I submitted it as a bug as soon as I found it. :D
As for the people having problems: Please tell me if you are running single player or multiplayer and if it's working or not. I only tested the fix in singleplayer, so multiplayer might still be broken.
As for the suggestion to put it in the main lua folder instead of an addon folder; I will not do that as I believe that's terrible practice. I will look in to why it's not working.
It works fine for me without putting it in the main lua directory.
Works perfect for me too. I have it in the addons.

That's why it's not working for them though... because they have the old version in their main lua folder. That's why it didn't work for me untill I replaced it, even though I tired with the newest version in my addon folder first.
Hmm, that's strange because I have never distributed a version of this that doesn't use the addon folder.
If the stacker stool is still not working, check the following folder for a "ol_stacker.lua" file:
garrysmod\garrysmod\gamemodes\sandbox\entities\weapons\gmod_tool\stools
If there is a "ol_stacker.lua" file there, delete it and tell me where you downloaded my tool from, as that means someone is repackaging my addon incorrectly and needs to be yelled at. Nobody should be distributing mods outside of addon folders anymore. :P
Can I make a suggestion? If so I think Overload you should have an easier way of making various angels. Adjusting the sliders does get difficult.

What's your suggestion? You can type in whatever values you want to the input boxes, just like on any stool. I can't think of any way to make it easier...
Yay it works! Nice job OverloadUT!
Thanks for releasing a new version for the update, OL!
Works swimmingly once again.
I love this stool so much :D Thanks, Lua King for you :O

You can't do negative values with the sliders. You need to manually put a minus before the value.
You can't do negative values with the sliders. You need to manually put a minus before the value.
It used to have negative values available in the sliders, but it made it impossible to easily slide it back to 0. You would always have to manually input 0 if you wanted to reset one angle back to normal. This combined with the fact that it's redundant anyway because -270 degrees == 90 degrees caused me to change it to the way it is now.
Unless you're talking about the position sliders and not the angle sliders. I thought that I changed it so that you can slide negative for the position, but perhaps I forgot to implement this. Which ones are you talking about?

I think he is talking about the position sliders, you can make them negative but you have to manually put the - before the number

The position sliders.
Just an idea..
When you get the stacker to stop spawning objects outside of the world, could you add a notification to users like ecs that says "Stacker could not perform it's duty" or something like that.
I've had the biggest trouble with stacking out of boundary and hitting undo thinking it stacked and then undoing something else..
Let me know if you get it added with a reply or something.
Hey I don't know if the creator reads this thread or not but I have a good idea that would be helpful, whether it can be done or not I don't know. Would it be possible to add the ability to stack different objects? This would be helpful for building things to perfection. Lets say I have get a wooden barrel from Pheonixes add on pack and I want to stack a piece of round wood on top of it perfectly. Could this be done?

Probably, but why not just put the prop you need on it perfectly then stack that? -.-
You probably don't know this, but if you hold shift(sprint) and e(use), you can twist props around in 45 degree increments.
Hey guys I downloaded but i don't have a Garrysmod/Garrysmod directory is it a Garrysmod 10 thing only or does 9 work too please please help I would really love to have this addon

Would it be possible for the stacker tool to support this mod?
Would it be possible for the stacker tool to support this mod?

Are you telling me that you tested it and it does not work, or are you asking for support before trying?
If it's the former, please try the latter. :P I believe this should be supported by PropSecure out of the box, but I haven't tested it myself.
When PropSecure came out, anything that was spawned by the stacker tool wasn't protected. I asked Conna to support it, and was told that the stacker tool needed to support PropSecure.
Could the creator of this mod please add in the ability to stack different objects?
