Ok, this is the best STool EVER. Me and t0rento just spent 4+ hours building a fort using nothing but blast doors, locker doors, metal sheets and this. It covers most of gm_construct.
Unfortunately, t0rento (who was running the server) crashed with No Free Edicts.
Here's a screenshot..

(Clicky for bigger :D)
Pictures really don't do it justice and Fraps is broken, so I couldn't get a video (well, a video at 3 FPS wouldn't be very good anyway)
Once again, THANKS! You made this a lot easier... even if we couldn't look at the damn thing without dropping to -10 FPS :D
Edit:
At the last point I checked, the total prop count was 1701. That'd be why I'm at 3 FPS in that screenshot... It's kinda like the sun, you DO NOT look directly at it.
zomg!
Wow, that is totally awesome. I'm glad to see people enjoying it! I also see that you're using my SuperNumpad script and moved the HUD element to make it fit with your hud. Nice. :)
That is quite impressive.
Thank you for this amazing stool. It is by far the best I've downloaded yet.
I wish I didn't have to go :( That door inside the base kept killing me... hehe... NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT STAND IN FRONT OF sp3 AND t0's MEGA FORT BLAST DOORS WHEN OPENING...
Even before you had the mega tower, I was getting 17 FPS looking at the whole thing... is Source preconfigured for core 2 duo?
ya i install the new version and it still doen't work!

Search your entire garrysmod folder for "stacker" and if you find any "ol_stacker.lua" files that are not inside the addon directory, delete them.
Amazing Stool. I can make forts of any size in seconds. :D
I have a suggestion for OverloadUT. When I'm using the shadow preview to fine tune the angles in the C context menu, I won't see the preview if there is another prop behind the menu (and thus behind my mouse). I think you should disable using this STOOL when the C menu is open.

Being able to see the updated ghost preview with the Context menu is invaluable, at least to me. You can usually position yourself in a way so that the area behind the menu is empty and the ghost preview remains on the correct prop.
As for a permanent solution, maybe something like the select/deselect system in Entity Command Suite? I wouldn't think it would work too well for this though. :(
1. great stool, useful for building forts and such
2. ...
...
is Source preconfigured for core 2 duo?
Source is a single core thing at the moment, but with Episode 2, Source will use both cores, so if/when that's out, and Garry's Mod is updated to use it, you will get a lot more speed out of it (and physics in Source will be a lot more smoother)

Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to detect if the C menu is open. As acreech mentioned, there is almost always a way to position yourself so there is nothing behind the context menu and unfortunately that's the best solution I have right now. I considered doing a "selection" system, but I think that creates too many required clicks, which is against the spirit of this mod.
This is a GREAT tool, saved me tons of time, plus it's fun to make a gigantic pile of explosive barrels and crash the game, haha.

yarly, it seems like every gmod-related site is down today. Hooray for hosting files on servers that have the uptime of your average linux system.
Curse you download link! I want this STool!
Is there any way to place some limits on this for use in multiplayer? I host a listen server and I'd like to keep this tool there, but, well, people are assholes is the long and the short of it.

Actually it's hosted on my personal server which has a 99% uptime. However, that 1% was yesterday. I rebooted the server and it's working fine now. ;)
man that is cool, can you say easy fort building?
Easy fort building?

If you have ServerSecure, you can do a quick hack of the left click routine by adding something like (might need to change variable name for Player)...
if (SS && !SS.Flags.Has(Player, "stacker")) then
SS.Message(Player, "You don't have Stacker authorization!\n", 1)
return false
end
Of course just invert the logic if you want it available to everyone until or unless they show they want to make trouble with it.

Is this going to be updated for the new version of GMOD?
Please, OverloadUT, I need a favour. Can you make a modified Stacker STOOL with a checkbox : "Automatically Weld Props to World". I know it will lag, but I will never release it, I need it only for my server. I'll credit you. Please, you're a lua king.
Could you make it possible to "SuperFreeze" the props when you stack them? Should be less laggy and just as safe as welding, with luck. Also, as far as I can tell (though I'm not certain), the props stacked don't count towards the prop limit. Is that fixable?
Ok, I did everything possible and the stacker tool with still not work. I searched for the stacker in places it shouldn't be, nothing. I reinstalled it, nothing. Any help? I really want to build my fort...

Excuse me, but you realise Linux is more stable than Windows? none of this bsod crap :v:
When I try to fire the stacker tool, it says this in console:
LS: stools/ol_stacker.lua:68: attempt to call method 'CheckLimit' (a nil value)
Is this going to be updated for the new version of GMOD?
Does it need to be? I haven't been playing gmod recently but I'll happily fix this if it's broken.
The new Gmod update has broken many things from what I hear so it is certainly possible. If you could please check to see if stacker was affected that would be great.
