Cant replace wire hydraulics. :/
Worked fine for me, and that was yesterday night at that. whats the error that you have?
Hi guys I need help installing this mod i put it in my addons folder and tried it it dident show up on my addons in gmod please help
nvm it happens with all constraints
Could you perhaps add a radial-symmetry-to-point function? I'm trying to create a hexagonal prism and sitting and manually typing in hundredths/thousands of a percent to nudge the stacker's offsets makes the process of creating a simple geometric shape (without nearly doubling needed prop count by just stacking a flat hexagon until it creates a prism of the desired length) much harder than it needs to be.
On single-player with solid prism/cylinder use (larger than those provided by SProps) fairly limited, this isn't much of an issue. But on a multiplayer server, the accumulating prop count (if used several times) would likely cause undesirable lag.
In this instance, the radial-symmetry-to-point function is about optimization of prop count. but there are other cases where it could come in handy. For example, I've found that stacking cylindrical props in a starburst fashion from one central point is difficult and requires tinkering because they want to form a pinwheel shape instead (because for some odd reason, the offsets don't want to constrain to the origin in those cases), but stacking parallel to the prop's length axis (like a bundle of pencils) seems to work just fine.
Make a point on the edge of the shape you want to make and make an axis at the center. Then duplicate the point on the edge, rotate the duplicated point about the axis by 360/n degrees where n is the number of points you want, and repeat.
Does anyone know what this guy was doing with precision align? Whatever it was, I think it crashed the server, http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=PLs3miqe.
Found a bug that allowed crashing servers by sending console commands with "nan" or "inf" as arguments. Here's a potential fix. Not fully tested.

I've noticed in a couple of my builds where trying to axis along a line ends up leaving a somewhat-frustrating crookedness (in the direction of the line) to the prop being axis'd. A maintenance hatch on a robot I started work on, for example, laid flat in the closed position, but when open, you could see a cant along the edge, as if the hinge wasn't level. And on a gunner's mount I built with ACF, the part of it that has the gun and seat attached to it sits tilted to one side by like .083 degrees or something. This is rather unfortunate, because it seems to me like Precision Alignment axis constraints along a line have little to no flop to them at all.
Also, for that mount I mentioned, I was wondering if perhaps you could add wire motors to the list of constraints. The motor used in the rotary plate is a bit floppy, and I thought it would be more stable if it could use the same to-line function allowed with the axis constraint.
Do you (or are you willing to) still maintain Precision Alignment?
I don't have much time to really look into this myself. Some people on my server occasionally cause these errors serverside, so I don't know how to reproduce it.

I imagine this thread is dead for the most part, so unless someone pokes TweaK on Steam, there probably won't be much of a response.

Does the current version of PA has github repo and if so I will gladly look onto it !
I freaking love this addon <3
I am just curious, but for the Ballsocket Adv, is there any way that I could make the X, Y and X parameters local oriented to the prop that it is connected to, rather than the world? I am having a hard time making angled props rotate in the way that I would like them to.
Current version of physgun buildmode seems to have some contention with spherical collisions mod.
Making any prop spherical and trying to move it will crash the server. Not sure what causes it.
[editline]edit[/editline]
Okay it seems fine in SP, but it automatically rotates the prop to angles 0 0 0. Meanwhile I was able to test it with an admin and he can't actually crash it under the same conditions.
Maybe it has something to do with Spacetech's Simple Prop Protection?
What happened to the download?? It says it was either privated or taken down. And I can't find the official github.

Dropbox removed the public shit and changed shit. It sucks, gotta wait for op to create a link and update the post
Until either TweaK resumes maintaining the tool, or I have the time to work on it myself, I've put my copy on GitHub (couldn't find any already in place).
https://github.com/IJWTB/precision-alignment
I can do the same for Physgun Buildmode and Axis if requested and not already on GitHub somewhere.
Yeah dropbox changed the way public folder urls work so that you can't link directly to files anymore. I updated the link in the OP, but anyone is welcome to take over maintaining the tools. Not sure if you have already made changes in that github repo. I don't really have time for gmod these days :(
Lately I've come across a very odd bug in PA. Since a few months my PA stacks 2 times instead of one. I don't have a clue what made it so it behaves like this. I first thought it was an issue with a gmod update but no one else seems to have the same problem.

It makes me want to believe that there is a setting in PA where you can set the amount of stacks you want to do but I cant find this setting anywere.
