Good guide, however I would try and be less forceful against users not making comedic movies. Personally, that is what makes Garry's Mod what it is - the humor. Ridiculous contraptions is a good part of the game's content.
Anyways, this really helps, pissed that Garry is complaining about it.

Okay, I just have to mention that Catmull-Rom does not go well with Source Recorder. Whenever I turn recording on when there are Catmull-Rom-cameras in the map, I start getting lua-errors at a rate of a few hundred per second(I know this because I got the bad coder-achievement in a few seconds).
If anyone knows a solution to this, please PM me.
Don't use source recorder with ingame LUA, they simply never work well.
IF you feel the need to over complicate things by using source recording, then you should learn demo smoothing.
IE if you want to use ingame LUA sweps/stools to get camera angles and movement, you're going to have to stop using source recorder and use wegame.
or full frapps (if you want to spend money)

I've yet to find a simple-to-follow and working tutorial for demo smoothing in Gmod.

I know Source Recorder is crap, but it's the best I've got to go on.
I tried to film in a totally empty map with only Catmull-Rom-cameras with Fraps, my framerate dropped from 50 to fucken 20 the instant I turned recording on.
So yeah, I need a new computer, but I can't afford a new one. So I guess I'm stuck with flying around with the camera or something.
