StapleTroll, the arms are done by first freezing them and then welding them to the gas container. Then when you unfreeze the whole thing, the ragdoll's hands will be in the position you set them to. :D

All you have to do is nocollide it and follow gman_freeman's tutorial. Also, here's the save file with all the ragdolls that I used for the movie. They're scattered around the map frozen, they all use numpad 8,4,6 (0 for the scout's jump)
Sweet
Your creation shot you!
Great idea, something i will actually use!
Oh my god! That's so freaking hilarious! Very nice job + concept!
I'll definitely try that. It's a little creepy though. They look like walking corpses.
I'll definately try that. It's a little creepy though. They look like walking corpses.
 that's exactly what they are. :v:
Awesome! I will definetly try this! After I saw funnycat´s film I found on the credits that gman_freeman made it, after that I got to facepunch, searched for gman_freeman, and here I am! Great tutorial by the way.
Awesome! I tried it with Alyx, didn't work so well cause' i forgot to weld the wheels together! :v:
This is the best thing i've ever seen in gmod ragdoll posing, i'm going try and do that!
Really funny. I'm gonna try it out ->
Today when (or if) I get my steam account back, I will make this. Pretty cool.
My attempt ended up being strange. i coudn't stop laughing, and the server admin get really confused. http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/showthread.php?t=575075
My attempt ended up being strange. i coudn't stop laughing, and the server admin get really confused. http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/showthread.php?t=575075
Lol awesome
Haha this is smart, I just tried it and it worked. I think I'll be trying to add two small wheels for the arms, I hope that will work. :P
Hey, Bastetta, take a look at mine, I welded the hands to the feet and it turned out pretty good and funny http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/showthread.php?t=572550 :q:
If you want the arms to still move around a lot but have them still in a funny pose you can have their arms bent at a ninety degree angle and weld their forearm to their forearm or their upper arm to their upper arm so the top part of their arm is always sticking out while the fore arm is going in random direction
Very clever idea, I used to do the mech way which is one thruster on each foot and hydraulics or hoverballs to keep him standing.
I might add on a video that teaches people to add wire to it
please do, I'm very interested in this.
HAHAAH that is awesome and Funny! :D
I call that the best comedy and tutorial hybrid I've ever seen, thank you for this great idea Gman_Freeman! You are awesome! :D
Wow that's great.
please do, I'm very interested in this.
Yeah, i don't know much about wire :/ but if you subscribe i've got some other video coming up in the mean time, e.g. the spy bot
This is 100% win.
I tried. I failed because he moved but didn't move his legs :v:
i was laughing all the way through it!! I will try it because it's awesome!!!
LOL, I love the over emphasized running.
