To be honest the ending the most minor thing in the game and it's not as bad as people make it out to be. I mean it's stupid but the game has bigger issues.
From memory
Weird art - Super detailed textures next to really low resolution ones. On the same models even
Load of bugs - getting stuck on maps, falling trough maps, not triggering quests etc
Awful quest log - not updated on quest progression
One single quest hub
majority of quests are fetch quests spawned from overhearing conversations
most side quests (which aren't fetch quests) happen on multiplayer maps which are only about killing of enemies
renegade replaced from the soldier that does necessary things to just a bad person. It even shows in quests that would previously be renegade which turned into paragon choices (saving an admiral as opposed to his crew). Also renegade choices tend to give you less war assets than paragon choices.
abilities sometimes not happening
one button to fuck them all over (space is for rolling, running, reviving, starting convos, going into cover etc etc) people die because instead of rolling they go into cover and similar
charge up gun cannot be charged in cover
loads of conversations replaced with auto convos where you have no choice
morinth
only two enemy sets (gets for a short time, but well it's really a short time)
conversations changed from choice into saying the same thing differently
dodgy animations - verner I mean you
etc etc etc
