It is. Though you need to use console commands to spawn the model and set the pose in gmod.
The traditional method is
prop_dynamic_create path_to_model
while looking at it
ent_name yourname
After that you can do set_animation yourname animationname or maybe yourname set_animation animationname
not sure right now.
Also that maxofSD guy made a bunch of commands to make this easier and more powerfull - like actually having face and eyeposing.
But overall you still can't use normal tools to get those two.

oh, I meant import the animation to 3ds, hack the useless shit off and export as a prop. but damn, that's pretty cool too

Nah. It was a compliment and a jibe. I like the lighting; it is a cool screeny.
I have had the same general concept as you, but I always used lights for lighting, not lamps... except occasionally when I want really direct lighting.
Like, I would have made the light in the fire brighter so that it was the source of orange and not the lamp.
It is intrigue. And thanks for the insight on the initial posing. I am never quite sure what level I want the doll at.
