Sounds like you only got one of the rgb channels for the normal map... check the alpha layer for the other one. Blue is white.

GIMP is really bad when dealing with alphas. Apparently a massive annoying piece there.

I forgot to mention in the readme -- her ears will be clipping through the hood by default; this can be fixed easily by using the "helmet_fix" flex in the face poser.
